Just outta interest, what do you people put on application forms when they ask...

What do you think is good customer service?

What do you think the value of excellent service is?

and others like How do you think you can contribute to the success of the name of the shop

What ever you think is appropriate.

Personally it's a big negative to me when a candidate gives me a smarmy or "canned" answer.
You also have to look at the context of the question, as different environments have different values

To me it's probably about "enhancing" the customer "experience" - but don't say it in those words as you would look like an arse!

to me the value of good service would be it helps build trust and loyalty. I use a certain bank for my current, saving, mortgage accounts and credit card as they have looked after me so well. Yes I could get a better rate if I hunted around. however the relationship build up over the years has pad dividends in terms of help and flexibility when I needed it.

As for the last question, only you can answer that! You know yourself and you know the shop. Do you have common interests, relevant skills etc???

What do you think is good customer service?
Ensuring the customer does not feel ignored or just a sales figure - they should feel like an individual and feel as if the company is very grateful for their custom. The customer should always leave feeling helped to whatever extent is possible. Looking out for the customers best interests.
What do you think the value of excellent service is?
It allows a business to survive - with poor customer service, a business gets no customers. Excellent service results in the comapny being recommended to others, and makes it a much more competitive enterprise. Service is what makes a shop.
and others like How do you think you can contribute to the success of the name of the shop
Adding excellent and dedicated customer service in all applicable areas, ensuring customers are satisfied with the way they have been treated within the business, being a dedicated team worker to ensure targets are met and goals are achieved.
