MMA...... and the WWE!

Wes Sims (http://www.knucklepit.com/wes%20sims5.jpg) has recently announced that he is leaving the world of MMA.... for the WWE! He will be competing in the WWEs "Tough Enough" competition, and supposedly appearing on SmackDown!

For those interested in the MMA side, Wes Sims has the nickname "The Project" because Mark Coleman and Kevin Randelman decided to turn him into their pet project. In reality, he turned out to be the guy who couldnt follow the rules, had no cardio vascular to speak of, and seems to have no fighting skills save for some powerful punches. Having said that, he is incredibly strong, and despite having Frank Mir (The guy who broke Tim Sylvias arm) try out a variety of submissions on him during their two fights, he would NOT give up. He'll make a superb bad guy for the WWE.

For those interested in the wrestling side, Wes is 6 ft 10, weighs 250 lbs and is one of the few people to pull off a legitimate power bomb during an MMA fight (The only other one that springs to mind is Matt Hughes, and he better not go to the WWE :P )

Aye I saw that in the Jackson vs Silva promo video for their upcoming fight. Would love to see that fight in its entirety. Ive never seen anyone stand up against Chuck and even land a punch that hurt him, never mind beat him! (Except Randy Couture but a lot of that was from the clinch)

Would also love to see a rematch. Chuck has improved his stand up game so much now that I cant see ANYONE flooring him anymore. (im a big fan of the Iceman :P )

Just found it. Pride: Final Conflict. It has Liddell Vs Jackson on it. He was the only UFC guy that made it to the Semis of the Pride event. The owner of UFC had a massive bet on Chuck Winning it. He lost.

I would put it up for dload but it is 3 CD's big. I might torrent it but i dunno.

It has some other top top fights on it including Cro Cop vs Nog.

The Jackson vs Liddell fight is on the first disk. I can torrent just that one if you want.

It is a weird fight, both of them stand up and box for some reason. In the end, Liddell takes an absolute beating.

Wes Sims was hoping for a chance at winning one million dollars as the winner of the upcoming Tough Enough show on the WWE, but that won't happen.

MMAWeekly has learned that the WWE Tough Enough tryouts that took place yesterday in California, concluded with Wes Sims NOT making the cut from 50 to 25 contestants.

Apparently, the WWE was not happy with his bench press and they had some other agility drills that he struggled with. If Sims could've won the competition he would have won a WWE contract worth a million dollars

Spose that means were getting him back then.
