RTW noob

Hi

I just bought this game yesterday - I havent played any of the other Total War series but this game grabbed me but I have a problem. I have tried playing through the tutorial type mission but tbh I am a bit lost. Are there any helpful web sites for Total Noobs like me?

The tutorial isn't great compared to the last games really. I only knew how to do alot of stuff just from playing the previous games.

The advisor on campaign map tells you a fair amount of useful things and will tell you what most screens do.

Thanks for that link. I found the tutorial maps go a bit too fast for me (maybe i am just slow lol) and although the manual is pretty good there is just so much info in there its hard to know where to start.

The map that came with the game is a nice bonus I thought.

Also another question - do you *have* to use Gamespy to play online? I noticed All Seeing Eye doesnt seem to support it but is there any alternative? I hate Gamespy.
