ive copied the image of BF CD1 onto my hard drive and mounted it onto a virtual drive, which is perfectly legal, and has the same effect as a nocd patch

btw, good choice of avatar \m/

How do you create a virtual drive? Is that in XP? Would be handy as I wouldn't have to keep the CD in the drive then. Thanks.

i use third party software called Alcohol 120%. Afaik it cannot be done using winXP alone.

other drive emulation software such as daemon tools will also work, try doing a search :)

no CD patches are a lot smaller tho :) and also perfectly legitimate if you own the software. I use them all the time to keep my kids hands off the CD's. Yet to ask about them on most forums is taboo.

In that case talking about CD RW, DVD RW, DiVX should also be banned as they can all be used for non-legit purposesas well. Never understood the double-stnadard there.

wouldn't know. I use Mozilla Firebird (http://texturizer.net/firebird/download.html)

I just use the google toolbar with built in popup blocker. Works really well.

I use firebird + IE w/ google toolbar (cos some secure sites don't like firebird - such as my bank so its either IE or Nutscrape...)
