Its a good phone nice screen, good UI, lots of features but the battery life is short - two to three days max.

The screen isn't usable in sunlight either
Other than that, its a superb handset
phone looks ugly, but its damned good tbh.
yeah i heard about the screen being a bit wishy washy in sunlight, is it any worse than the t68i though ? (my current one)
Just found out there's a new verison of the t610 out, called the Z600, which is the identical workings etc but in a flip phone and with a better type of display, only avail on O2 atm though :( and its a bit bigger than other flip fones
i think it looks quite good actually :p
just found out the z600 is now out on t-mobile, the website i was looking at wasn't up to date :/ so mite get that
now all I have to do is wait till the end of the postal strike so t-mobile can answer their phones for some reason !!! hmm tis weird
hehe
its not that weird.
i know the reason for that as its my team that implements the routing for stuff like that.
needless to say as much as the postal strike is now over, it means that ppl have only just started receiving there bills, that means hell of a lot more calls than expected.
you might want to go onto the t-mobile web as you can upgrade from there (if it gives you a 0500 number then dont ring it, it will give you an announcement only).
I never used one, but I've been told the Z600 is a very good phone. It was originally going to be really cheap and avaliable on O2 pay as you go... they cancelled it and jacked the price up all of a sudden though :{
If you haven't already popped along btw, and would be interested in anything sim-free, http://www.expansys.com is quite a neat place. Recently picked up a psion revo from there no problems, so just a couple of hours ago ordered my new phone (Nokia 6800- its about 130 quid off the price I found earlier on the high street for the same phone unconnected) :)
n1 morba, i'll have a look at the webby
tried the webby but i've lost my password and username that I only got about a week ago ! lol oops
so Ive finally got through to t-mobile, and they cant offer me anything I cant get cheaper elsewhere by getting a new contract, something to do with the manufacturers of the phones supplying phones cheaper to new subscribers apparently, blah blah blah.
So ive cancelled my currnet contract and am picking up a new phone on way home from work tonite !! :D plus i get to keep my old T68i and for £15 they will unlock it for me which I can then sell on for almost the price the new handset is costing me. \o/
yeah, theres a handset shortage going on atm, but of a joke, n all networks will take advantage n put priced up.
tho, id get rid of that pants t68i if i were you :p
I'd wait for the t630 which is a improvement on the t610... out soon apparently.

The quality of the camera isn't so great on the T610 - I've seen better pictures on phones that have a camera as an attachment.
Fine if you want a sexy looking phone though. ;o)

I'd imagine those ones are pretty expensive? talking about the clam shell ones right? in all fairness if I personally want to take a 'proper' photo, I'll use my digital camera, if I just wanna send it to another person using picture messaging, then the camera on my phone will do just fine :)
As it is t610 is a very good value for money phone :)
got myself a z600 now and am v happy with it, apart from t-mobile's customer services being a bit sh!t .......
the options you are given by calling their customer services are limited to predefined categories, and the few times I've needed to call them in the past weeks I've not been given any options relating to my problem.
I can see why they give limited number of options as the cost to them to put in a general helpline would be huge, but at the end of the day thats what im paying my bill 4.
The only option i had left to me was to send an email via their website, which has a 4 working days response time !! not what I would call good customer service tbh.
anyone else had similar probs with t-mob ?
since we put the last IVR in weve had loads of complaints, its userbility is crap - were more than aware of it and are in the middle of redesigning it.
i cant go into the reasoning for the design of the current version, but i can tell you that the next version will be a lot better..
Sent an email through the website yesterday and I assumed they had changed my settings cos i got a 'welcome to t-mobile' txt message, checked to see if the problem was fixed and they had infact made it worse!! lol
So outta desperation, I rang through to the wrong department and got an operator, who was v v helpful and assures me it will b fixed within the next hour
\o/ wootage
blurr your sig ownz tbh
agreed
back onto topic
i got a t610 lovely phone no problems with it bar new years eve/day where it locked up about 12am .. dunno why tbh :P
only other thing screen gets really dirty with crap in ur pocket or finger prints suggest gettin a case for it
apart from that tis l33t
well done on your buy :)
I do recommend that you check out what firmware you're using, if its old, go to your local sony service centre and they'll flash it for you for free as long as its under the 1 year warrantee. This should sort out any problems/bugs which have been found since its release.
Not sure where your local service centre is? contact sony ericsson and they'll tell you :)

i find my battery lasts over a week...
...but then again I don't spend 4 hours a day on it!
I was very worried about scratching the screen, but finally managed to track down a case that wasn't *too* naff (a Body Glove one)
The camera sucks, but so do all camera phones. Its good enough for taking a quick snapshot of the dog for the wallpaper though...
