Went and saw this fine bunch of liverpudlians at the Glasgow Academy last night. Theyre an excellent band and they put on a good live performance. They had quite an amusing habit of announcing their next song as something completely different leading to everyone going crazy when they started playing. They also closed on a new song which was pretty good and looks hopeful for their next album. :)
However, they didnt plan Spanish main :(.

THEY SUCK!

They have a new album set for release in January.
I've seen them twice, once at their 'Midsummer Night's Scream' in Liverpool. An amazing show with The Libertines, The Thrills and The Zutons supporting!
Can't really remember their Glasto performance ;) the psychedelic beats did make me chunder :)

Blimey, they're working fast. Good on them. Almost like the 60s with a record every 6 months.

Well, the beats and the strange tasting cookies from the lady in the cowboy hat selling tent to tent.
Somerset Cider doesn't mix well either
They were on CD:UK this morning :)
All kitted out in 80's clothing - skiing glasses, white suits, even the turtle lookalike guitarist was in a kid's spiderman outfit.
Made a nice change from all the boring shit on that programme :)

They're quite good, they played at me University not long ago but i didn't get tickets in time :(
i think they are bloody good ,they sound like so many different things all at once, quite refreshing.
new album out this month, meant to be more experimental and less together. a more polished 4th album is out later in the year.

The Coral are awful.
The Coral are awful.
please explain.
You can't deny The Coral write good music, maybe you should have said 'The Coral aren't to my taste'.
Well if they arent to his taste he probably wont be viewing it as good music, although judging by what little attention I have paid to their technique I'm still not convinced.
'The Coral aren't to my taste'. :)
ps,they suck :E
i dont recall De_duck asking for anyones opinion on them,if u dont like em fine, but i find it a bit childish all this "that band sux0rs" bllx.
I don`t recall de_duck asking for any feedback what so ever now u mention it,however this is the music forum and it comes with the territory :)
It's important to understand the difference between a good band and a band that isn't to your taste, otherwise you'll never understand what makes music appealing. I suppose it depends on what you listen to music for, if you put in a bit of effort to appreciate more styles of music you'll get more out of it.

true, however u can have a good band but they may not be making good music :)
mallet@argumentativefux0rs.com :)
If a good band isn't good at making music then what are they good for?

I downloaded some to give them a listen - what a load of tripe. It seems though that everyone either loves them or hates them. Personally I am the latter.
