Hell, im not sure if this is the right forum, and know I dont know who would win a fight between 100 duck sized horses or one horse sized duck. But Im gonna ask my question anyway

Lately, whilst using a computer, driving, walking, watching TV or just anything... Ive been sweating. Now, im not talking, Andre Agassi style face and head sweat. Im talking underarm... Now, it doesnt smell, and I am not hot at the time, just fine... feel perfectly normal.

Its so bad at times, that from watching TV or playing CS etc, I'll have sweat patches, hich are the worst thing in the world when the majority of your Tee's are a pastel-ish colour.

So any ideas? Anyone got the same thing? Its only been in the last 2 weeks or so, when ive just started feeling a lot better from an operation, and the only thing I can think of diet wise that im doing differently here to when Im at Uni is drinking more coke... so it thought it might possibly be the caffienne causing my heart rate to increase, and produce adrenalin... so im always on edge - but im as laid back as the next guy. So I dunno.

Suggestions?

p.s. Anti perspriants seem to do fuck all, and ive never found one that doesnt smell like an old man, so Id prefer it if you didnt suggest them :)

A complete guess here and could well be a load of tosh but could it not be the body using energy to recover after the op?

That crossed my mind too, but I doubt it since it doesnt, does it?

Doesn't what? Use energy, of course it does (he says with almost 99% certainty) whether or not it would cause you to sweat like a bitch on heat with a right stud of a collie walking around her, I don't know. Weird that you just seem to notice it whilst just sitting.

Not just when sitting, walking around too... its like im overheated, but I know I aint.

...and Im pretty sure youre body doesnt use "energy" to repair wounds.

Anti perspirants are a bad bad idea. you are supposed to sweat, so blocking the pores with chemicals is a bad idea, mmkay?

I know exactly what you mean I had the same thing myself about 12 months ago, I would sweat just sitting at my desk working on the computer or driving, even when its really cold, its really weird and the more you get paranoid about it the worse it becomes because of additional anxiety.

What worked for me was changing to a more healthy lifestyle, i started to eat a lot lot healthier and excercise twice a week and it pretty much went away.

I still sweat buckets while i sleep though :|

also I found this on t' intarweb you may find useful: .........

Ooh ta mate.

I spose this has been the unhealthiest I have been, I lost a lot of weight in hopsital and have been ordered to put it back on, especially over christmas, so I havanet been eating all that well, and I physically cant exercise atm. Will have to get fit again I spose :)

Have you checked your body temp? You might be running a higher temp because of an infection after your operation.

Try cutting down on the amount of salt you add to meals.

Most foods already contain high amounts of salt anyway so provided you can bare the taste, try and use less salt when you don't need it.

Too much caffeine makes me sweat loads, try and cut down see if that helps.
