Also they just released a new beta client everyone had to download 2.4gb again. If you want the downloader file msg me on irc can send it to you so you can dl the client prolly be the same 1 they use for open beta but not sure.

Nope DMX, I'm under the impression that US Retail +1 patch = EU Final Beta, I even think that the EU close beta fellows have it now, hence them having to redownload the whole cilent.. cos its the retail version.

the euro official forums are frothing with beta testers demanding direct download as they're too stupid to set up their network correctly.

Pre order packs will be sent out, more than likely, next week and I would imagine arrive with customers end of Dec / Start of Jan - again, we will be sending them out before beta begins

Lungers - AB are only playing on the US servers, so until full access happens, kazza and I and a bunch of Europeans - Mister666/Salvelinus/Cerebus/Invalid/etc - are coordinating stuff over on the kiwi's boards, as a load of guys there are up for playing also. Looks like there are about 15-20 with pre-order packs in-hand or en route from gameplay.

Someone posted a message from gameplay today over tehre also. Gist of it was "you'll get the beta packs after Christmas we reckon, but that will be definitely before the final beta starts. So it looks like Blizzard have commited to them that the fb won't start until the packs have gone out.

Anyway, changeing the subject slightly - this Gamespot Hardware Guide to WoW (http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-x-1304-x-x-x&body_pagenum=5) seems to shows that the game is sevearly CPU limited - my XP3200+ is now considered "crap, old, and inadaquate" *sniff* (just like me, before anyone makes that comment ;) )

i felt my performance in the US Open Beta was acceptable, but not stunning. However, those test shows that when my 98XT becomes a X800XT, it won't improve significantly, which I can believe.

I'm on a xp2100+ and 9800pro and in the US beta i had absolteuly no problems at all.

We had originally been advised by Blizzard that we should expect these around the 18th, but have now been told to expect them this Friday (Xmas Eve). Unfortunately, our warehouse will be closed until after Xmas, so we can't dispatch until then.
We apologise for the delay, we have been assured that the BETA won't start until early Jan 2005, so you should all get them in time.

I would advise people to upgrade their mem, if they only have 512mb. Memory has a massive impact on mmorpgs, from my experience I've noticed this but I'm no expert

We want to try and send an email, but that might not happen today - it won't work like normal when you automatically get an email because we are shipping the pre order disc as an "extra" - the automatic email goes out when your order is shipped not when the extra bit is shipped.

We're packing and sending the pre order discs as I type.

We have received our shipment of Pre Order Packs and we will be despatching them today and tomorrow.
Obviously this is a mammoth task due to the high amount of orders so will take us a while to get them all out.
They will be sent on 1st class post so you should receive the pre order packs within the next 1 - 3 working days (depending on the post in your area)

Our apologies for the delay, this was due to stock of the pre order packs being delayed to ourselves until last week, as there were many a bank holiday we were unable to despatch them immediately.

i have a spell to detect invisablity but last 10mins and always forget to recast it same with under water breathing i can cast on anyone n can stay under water for 10mins comes in very handy with some of the quests

Well combine the two and you have a winning formula, but still tbh, I can use vanish (25c cast) and have super stealth for 10 seconds, enough to get a cheap shot out and a poision in.

should of asked could have gave u the download thing at work at the moment so cant give it to you. The lastest CB client is going to be the same one the FB uses just with updates. If you download it with the blizzard downloader you might want to get some 3rd product to cap your upload either that or try some torrent sites or google and try n find the torrent file for it.

took me fking ages to dl for the 2.4gb file it was took something like 20+hrs if you have a fast FTP dump msg me a login n i can dump it to there from another FTP server.
