But what the hell lets have an update on who you all are

Im 51 and been playing q3 since it came out a few xmases ago

I have three boys
24 16 and 14
Love me missus to bits
But still find the time to get in an hour or so an evening at Q3
Ive been an avid poster on wireplay and by forum

Been playing q3 since the demo test and loved it from Day 1.
I'm in n2s but dont play so much these days because, frankly, I'm crap :) Still love a good TDM game though.

I'm 50sQuiff, 21, from Bolton but in my final year at Nottingham uni. Steal and drink alcohol and push the boundaries of lazyness on a regular basis. I started playing Q2 when Q3 test came out and changed as soon as I could afford a new PC. Modem newbie to tired and cynical via connection bitterness and l33tness. I played at every Barrysworld level from div 1-5. Now given up.
Lo chaps :) This forum is an inspired idea tbh. The other day after reading how BY is going down the pan I was browsing through my entire posting history on there and Wireplay. It was mildly amusing and highly cringe-making to chart my posting over nearly 4 years - Absolute drivel, spats with assorted characters, ropey songs, the legacy of the Q3 movies, notorious spoof columns, proper columns on ESreality, hell I even found a post where I criticised tweaking somewhere. The horribly new to the downright offensive, from 17 to 21: formative years mapped out by a bizarre online progression all under the influence of a great deal of alcohol (as I am now). Now what was Ax's excuse? :)
I'm qui (:)) 21 from Lincolnshire, working as a computer programmer for local government. Played Q3 on and off since demo days from 56k modem to broadband. Always been mainly a UT'er or a mmorpg'er but recently got back into Q3 (to hide from the lamers that are plagueing the UT community).
Quiff - I know what you mean, scary thing is I can chart my posts across forums from approx July 1996 to now, 14 - 21 years old! :/

I've been playing Quake for a few years now, I tend to be a daily browser but weekly poster on forums. Started out life on Wireplay (cs) :/ forum, came to Q3 with the demise of Wireplay and haven't really looked at another online game since.

Started my fragging over on the Aardvark ctf servers back in the good ole 56k days, then moved to a nice little dm6 only server over at Wireplay where I was admin for a while, till it went all pete tong courtesy of bbw's best buddy.

Hi Im 36 from Cambridge, born in Bedfordshire. Ive owned Q3 since its launch but not played it much online, always seemed to get owned. Last night was the first time I had played it in ages. Apart from owning Qui a couple of times, he murdered me :o
Im normally a TFCer but with the things the way they are, that may change.

Played rugby for years as my main hobby, smashed my knee too bits just that few too many times, doctors said walk or play rugby, so I now walk! I started playing online games from the moment I first saw a Doom LAN at a computer trade fair, I also have an interest in Staffordshire Bull Terriors and Pitbull Terriors. I own one tan (red) female Pit Bull 'Mandy' (rescue) and two Staffies (M/M) called 'Dusty' and 'Diesel' both pedigree bred.
I play Quake Three TrueCombat mainly, but also find time for Quake 2 and QuakeWorld, I also play my share of the HL mods, DOD, VS, S&I, CS. I also like RTS games mainly the Microsoft AOE series.
I still live with my parents.. not! :geek: :lol: Married with 3 lovely children and a beautiful wife. What more could a man ask for? ;)

I haven't played Q3 in about 2 years, my old nickname was Diz.
I started playing q3 FFA on Wireplay but moved onto RA3 after a short while. After Wireplay shut down I got bored with the game and missed my old wireplay buds ;)
I'm 18 in a couple of weeks and hate my parents.

hello, I'm yakumo, just turned 25, orriginally from leicester but i've been linving in oxford for the past 4-5 years.
I've been playing FPS's since DOOM 1 came out, highlights were finally getting online and being taught how to mouse by a friendly canadian at 4am about 2 months before q2 came out.
I went on to 0wn up q2 with my newfound m4d m0us3 sk1llz and met Tasan to form UNR (clan unreal) with which we dominated the q2 leagues right through to q3's release where we did pretty damn well too staying 1st or 2nd usually every div1 season, but i stayed on the sidelines being stuck on a modem, and then working too much, and not really likeing q3 tdm :p

hate duel, love dabbling in FFA still a fair bit, CTF now and again, backing out now though due to work and karate.

some of you might know me as I usually play on the WP FFA server. So I use the name s0are (uesd to be sc0re but wasn't making any) am 47 and live in Brussels, Belgium; have three Daughters Zoe 6 Zazie 4 and lill' Zara nearly 3. Have played Quake3 for ages now and still play as a total n00b but just enjoy having fun at Q3.

Just got married.

Play q3 cpm clan arena for a laff, and have just joined hbms because im obviously gorgous *cough*BOLLOX*cough*
Im a UT'er at heart (as some of you know, and some of you take great pleasure in reminding me :p )
Started at wireplay, onto bygames with the masses where i became a senior official after running a few seasons of ut ctf.
Also Site Admin at esreality where i get to have a nice title and do nothing!!
i play it for a bit of fun, but only the low grav maps really.

From Glasgow. Started playing q3 since release on the WP 56K FFA server, hated CTF and so stuck with Public FFA and TDM (baseq3 xD). Play Threewave for "ack." (Albino Clan Killers) - I'm becoming more interested in OSPTDM and OSPCA (both vq3 and cpm physics) and it would be fantastic to get a clan for either. *waves hands wildly* I play UT also, playing for [BEER] (with Morba, who I think played about once when I was a member ;)) and now with [GoC].
I'll be in #trickery.q3 if any u basts want another slag for your clan. ;)

Hi im Laz or Lazbian 21 from just outside london. Started playing duke nukem years ago, then moved onto hl and cs then moved back to q2 then got q3 and dabbled between cs q2 and q3. Now I mainly play ra3, such a great mod. Shame its mostly full of pre-pubescent teenagers. Also I've had quite strong feelings for 50'sQuiff (mainly sexual*)

Live in Wolves West Midlands. Q3 was my penultimate fps choice before BF1942 where I started playing as Black knight then changed to my original name Tichinde. I now currently play Star Wars Galaxies as Khau Shinday which basically gives me no time for any other game. I play in a PA called Ministry of Silly Walks on the Wanderhome server. I am Imperial =) Played from QW briefly where I moved to Q2 and co-founded Children of Gaia with my Twin brother Dachande and 2 guys called Guardian and Pendragon. Met my wife Elvira playing Q2 and live with her with our 2 year old son Tyler and 5 month old Daughter Kayleigh. Spend all my time working/spending time with the family/Playing SWG and Taekwon-do. As I write this, Elv is holding our Daughter over my head and she is smacking me on the back of the head. She'll be a good martial artist =) I get the feeling she is gonna puke on my head soon.

38, gaming since 79, FPS'ing since Wolf, founded Wireplay QW service in 97, formed QW clan WPF, pld Q2 in clan SEX, TCO & SEX2, then KP in clan OG, then Q3 when Test was released. Now only really play CS & Q3 online - yes they can co-exist...
I prefer osp duelling, Q3 highlight was beating amok in the first rnd of WCG qualifiers 6-3 on ZTN :E [didn't get much further tho after a whipping by DC/4K Blunt :)].
I really think that Q3 is the FPS competition game. The movement and dynamics are second to none. How the WCG & CPL think they can get away with dropping it as a pro game is beyond me. I look fwd to CX games in LV Jan - will be some wicked Q3 1v1 action there...

Hi, started playing( if you can call it that) q3 at 1am'ish one night a couple of years ago 'cause I couldnt get a
decent guitar sound and thought whatz this multiplayer nonsense all about? 7.30 next morning still saying "Just one more game". Haven't played for ages cause isdn went crap and asdl wern't available to sheepshaggers untill now. Thought wireplay woz great and remember feeling genuinely sad when it got the chop. I am probably the worst q3 player you will ever play against and as such am always welcome on the servers [:)]

I've played Q3 twice. First time I played for 5 seconds because I didn't like the way it controlled the player, so I uninstalled it. About half a year later I installed it again, and made myself play for 20 minutes. Didn't really like it at all, so I uninstalled it again. I hope to play again soon, though, when I get a replacement for my graphics card.

I started playing q3 & ut on wp at about the same time got into ut more but still enjoyed me q3 games :) never understood the whole ut vs q3 thing all seemed a bit silly to me.
Oh yes, I was the one who liked TA, well there had to be one didn't there :dead:
Haven't played any games for about 2 years but will be back on the servers in a couple of weeks and i'm really looking forward to re-installing q3. :)
(Well actually im not looking forward to the re-install itself, that would be sad wouldn't it.)

I'm Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov; a character from a Dostoyevsky novel that suits my own.
I used to play on Wireplay when Gameplay were in control, but gave up when they went under - I had settled into my ways and the gaming diaspora wasn't something I wanted to be a part of.
But now I think I'll give Q3 another bash. I've long since killed my old gaming machine: But my current 2.3GHz Celeron Dell (with onboard graphics!) should suffice for now. 75fps is enough, eh?
Anyway, I'll look forward to being 0wned by you all in the near future.
