Was $100 as it was bought from New York by my Mum. Bloody nice watch.

I'm still quite interested in getting a Nixon though. I was literally one button click away from buying a Nixon, and my Mum gave me the sneaky "Oh you dont want a watch" line, which meant she bought me one.
Dead chuffed with it though.

Wearing a watch is surprisingly liberating. After dropping my favourite one under the wheel of a moving car... I know, sounds scripted huh? It did actually shatter into a million pieces... ive not worn one till I got it replaced at christmas :)
Im gonna get that diesel one Dogma has though, love it

hate g-shock watches. loads of people at my school had them, their wrists doubled in size when they wore them. plus they weigh a ton, and i think they're ugly. specially with those 2 needless bars across them.

blurr
07-Jan-2005, 11:13
well that was the whole point of the watch... to be big and chunky... and those 2 bars which go across them, is to prevent the screen from being scratched to a certain extent

swatch watches are almost all lovely things imo. they come out with some fantastic designs. nothing outrageously imaginative, but they look great. i love mine to bits, and i'll be using it for as long s i possibly can.

I have an Accurist, love it to bits. It's similar to this but it has an alarm and the hour indicators are less bulky;

http://www.keithanderson.co.uk/MB264BN.jpg

It got stolen off me on holiday over the summer but my parents got me a replacement, I was most distraught at the time though. I don't think Accurist make that model any more, alhough you might find it in jewellers who haven't shifted it yet, I like msot of their newer designs in the same range though;

i rather like that watch, i dunno why, but theres something very appealing about it.

having said that, i still prefer mine over all the ones shown on here. it's plain, yes, but it's sexy as anything. Plus it's so light you barely notice you're wearing it.

I hate watches with rubber/leather/fabric-y straps, i don't like the feel of those, and the worst thing is if you sweat, ugh, feels disgusting.

What the hell is it?

It's a Saishin Diode - http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch.php?id=65&from=W1

You can get the led setup in far more fashionable watches but I kinda liked the retro atari feel of the thing. I've got a couple of more analogue classic pieces if I need to dress more soberly.

thats the one i wanna get next.

i've got a simple swatch for normal day use.

my mum gave me my dad's rolex, when i graduated from uni last year. i don't dare wear it, scared i'm gonna scratch the thing or get it nicked when i walk down the street.

its also emotionally precious aswell, cos my dad died 10 years ago, and my mum made a competition that whoever graduated from uni between me and my two younger brothers would get his watch. bit unfair really, i'm 3 years older than my next brother and 7 years older than my youngest brother...but who cares, its my precious :P
