I am embarassed after that performance, such a bright start and then it went downhill from there. I was so looking forward to the game aswell.

Well played the Dutch, they played really well, i would like to see them win it. if they play the way they did it will be possible. They just seemed to have more energy and spirit about them.

gg, i feel totally dejected atm :(

The bright spot though m8 is after the Faoroes game who would have said we would make the play offs and have a chance of going to Euro 2004. not many.

Bertie and Ranier are bringing the youth through very nicely and it may take a few more years but by the end of it we will have a very decent team. If we keep advancing as we are.

Things is in a few years time Fletcher will be a Man Utd regular with lots of European games under his belt. Which will help out the Scotland team.

Sorry lads - I really did want you (and Wales) to get through to the finals.
But as you say, you can take heart from your progression. There is a new belief about Scotland that's been missing the last few years, and I think Vogts had said this was a year or two too early. So the WorldCup finals should be a plausable target.

Ha, nevermind. :D
Jeez though, 6-0? I really thought Scotchland would have put up a decent display after the 1st leg!

I too wanted as many home nations as posssible to make it into the finals, but at least Scotland managed to go out with a bang.

The highlight of the Welsh game was the tremendous rendition of the National Anthem, it all rather went downhill from there.

i actually wanted the Dutch to win, it wouldn't be such a good championship if they were not present, they are such a talented side. It was bad enough not having them at the world cup, but to have them missing from 2 successive tournaments would be a loss to the game imo

I wanted the Dutch to win. Preferably because i'd prefer to see them play in Euro 2004 than i would Scotland.
Bit gutted for Wales though, they look to be on their way of becoming a good team.
