Indeed - Blizzard polishes up more concepts from other games. WoW shall be outstanding.
One of the core tenets of the Warcraft universe is the raging conflict between the Horde and the Alliance. Old hatreds die hard, as they say, and the hate shared between these two ancient foes is deep and primal. That's why the player-versus-player gameplay has always been a staple of the design for World of Warcraft
They weren't even sure what, if any, PvP to have in at one point? ;-) Does sound like a worthy addition though!
Most mmorpg's are developed by adopting and learning from other MMORPGs. Keep in mind MMORPGs are basically in a kinda of beta by itself, if you can see where I'm coming from :P
I like how they are actually allowing large and interesting stuff that was featured through the Warcraft RTS games (Grypon airstrikes etc), making it feel like you are running around an actual WC3 battlefield.
I think its a good concept with what they are doing, as they can always include differnt areas for differnt style of battles.
They've only displayed Part 1 so far, wonder what else is to come!
Cavalry charges!
Thats going to be a laugh, god I hope they do it right.. the bulge, the thrill of the charge.... oooo... ahhh....

Sounds very interesting indeed... might still buy this despite the lack of collectors editions then.
I hope theres a kind of shoreline battle with ships n stuff, that would have a great theme!
