details:

Final Beta Test Plans
03/01/2005
In preparation for the imminent Final Beta Test of World of Warcraft, we will be shutting down the Closed Beta servers for maintenance and temporarily suspending the official forums within the next few hours. We regret the short notice, but are doing our utmost to roll out the Final Beta Test as quickly as possible. The downtime between the close of the current Beta and the start of the Final Beta Test will be kept to a minimum, although we are unable to reveal an exact start date at this time. However, we anticipate that this maintenance will only last a few days, whereupon the Final Beta Test will begin.

We will provide initial access to the Final Beta to those who attained a beta key through the official Blizzard pre-order campaign, as well current Closed Beta testers. These testers will maintain their existing account and characters. Additional testers will be included as the Final Beta moves forward.

More details regarding the Final Beta, including the start date, will be announced here shortly, so please stay tuned. We are working hard to bring you the next exciting phase of World of Warcraft as soon as possible.

Important bits are highlighted in bold, important bits for current testers in itallics ;)

Yay for my rogue he will live on! :D

Well I won't be seeing you in the servers, I'm sticking to the VIP rooms! ;)

(CB servers where our chars are still stored, I don't want to be playing with the b.net cockends)

Going by the forums you seem to have plenty of them anyway :P.

I cry everytime I read the American forums though, thank god we have our own servers :).

Good. All you bastids who've been playing for free for the past few months can all stop playing now, and wait for the rest of us to be able to play for free... oh...

in other news, Gameplay should be shipping the pre-order packs today...weeee....

From my experience in the closed beta, the people in were just a sub-set of the normal b.net type, actually probably a little worse due to the fact that they seemed to almost all feel were specially chosen and hence immediately worthy. they talked about "b.net kiddies" as if they were below them.

for me, I'll definitely want to play with my friends who ahve the final beta on those servers, rather than bunch of deluded teeenies who think they've been chosen because of some cutting forum post they made on the battlenet forums once...

1. Only been on b.net briefly, it's full of nobs. Now they get full reign.
2. Never got chosen, got given the key I was lucky
3. I have friends on the CB I like to party with and I like my rogue as he is! :P
4. Empty server = no ganks on me
