Does anyone own a panasonic x70, if so whats it like?

The specs look pretty spinky but the main drawback is:

Atm i can only find it on orange and as its been a while since i've bought a new mobile i do not know whether it will be made available on other networks (i don't wish to use orange)?

I just had a little look up, the site I found said it isn't avaliable sim-free yet but will be soon. You could always buy it on Orange then get it unblocked (or unlocked, i forget which). Orange will tell you a number to input which will do this or you can trust the guy down your local market to do it. Either way it'll cost about 15 quid to do I think (of course, plus the cost of the phone)

wow, that really does look like a nice phone :) It seems to be based along the lines of the sharp GX20 I believe, both funs are packed full of features

Looks similar to my panasonic GD87... my major gripe about it is the battery life is abysmal - the x70 stats say better so looks good... and it'll record wav's or whatever they are (proprietry format) but I couldn't assign them to a ringer - if the x70 has improved on that then it'll be a lovely handset imo.

i have the gd87 and love it to pieces. the x70 is the new version. not really sure of the new specs but it does look nice.

i could do with a new phone but might wait till the p900 comes out and get that :)

I have an X70 - and im getting rid of it - I want the p900.

I've got the box and everything with it, + a bluetooth adapter.

Its a nice phone - the things I dont like about it are;

Orange fked with the menus and they are all orange and cartoony.

Dont like panasonic's predictive text.

I had a phone call from Orange asking for the phone to be returned, as a recall was called on it. Apparently the camera is faulty - I asked what they meant by faulty and they said sometimes u cannot access it...

I asked what phone I would get in return and they said I would get a v200 - of which I kindly told them to do one. I havent got insurance on it, but am in the process of doing so.


I've not had a problem with the phone at all.

I'll quite happily flog it, its in mint condition, and soon shops will be able to unlock it, and flash it with the old menu.

The camera problem is a software problem i would assume.

Either way, let me know if ya want it, u can have it for £180.

eh the P900 is out. Its been out for a while actually :)

My mate has a p800, its surperb! Was watching phoenix nights on it and also had a quick go on Day of the Tenticle!

You can play all the old lucas arts game on them like monkey island 1 & 2, sam and max etc! even doom! And they look great

i've got an x70...it's alright, the camera is utter pish, and i'm on my second handset cos the charger port broke, and this one is a little dodgy. nice clear screen on it though, good colours, but if i had the choice again, i'd have something else
