Myself and SteveO are clubbing togeather to purchase an 18 man, debranded rats server from jolt when my current (1 month) contract with jolt runs out. Hopefully by running one larger rats server we will form a better community than several smaller ones. Admins have not all been chosen though most of the people that are currently admin will remain so its not guaranteed as its not just my choice anymore. We will bring you more details soon.

lads lets look at this realistically
we have 3 servers on the go, potentially
one I heard about Phood, and ghosts
I have sources of a good independant server if we need it

DizMatt. For me this is by no means splashing out.. for 6 months of rental on the new server its £116 for me. Compared to £180 on my current contract. Plus, if we decide to close the server Jolt refund outstanding fees.
Also Westhej, i considered Spanktastic before a signed up at Jolt but after a few days on their servers i changed my mind =/.

Normally for the server we are getting it would be £50 per month. Because we are paying 6 months contract in advance it is £232.50 total.

ffs this is the 3rd post now about rats servers n paying!!! cant we just keep it to one thread?? its bloody confusing.. first a 22man, then an 18, then 22 again... then paying this amount of money, then not and actully paying that amount of money... ffs guyz make ur mind up tbh!!!

Nothing wrong with Jolt servers at all. We've had one for almost 2 years without problem.
Warservers are wank though, an ex member invited us as play his new clan and the packet loss for everyone was appalling. It went on for 3 months 'till they hired one off someone else.
Most of CZR don't really play CS anymore so we're moving away from Jolt to, probably, these people ( http://www.fpsclanservers.net/shoppingcart.html ) once they get a website...

Just a suggestion but could the admins tone down a little on the random teleporting/slapping which seems to be constatly going on. Oh and could they not change the map when its half way through a round :(. I was literally in battle with someone when that happened today :).

DOH! Everyone keeps saying this, please read all the forum posts. I have said 100 times the random annoying shit would happen till Monday 00:01 am while i had a mess about with my new server k! Then things will be (mostly) normal. Teleport for ex will be removed frm the sever. I try and give people warning of a map change, it will be mostly left on the rotation so its not too repetetive from now on but sometimes il stick it on somthing popular to get people in and then change to a better map soon after. The servers going in 3 weeks anyway and the new one that comes after will be very diff.

I think this is a complete mess tbh
needs a better manangement of admins and rules because from the stories I've heard it quickly becomes chaos
having said that, had a good game earlier, but also heard from one of the admins that they teleported another playing in front of them....because they didn't want to hunt him down
being as im one of the adm0ngs on the server, its kinda getting anoying that i get slapped around... and the fact AWP is still alowed its bugging me that i have to keep doing the drop weapon command =/ im gunna b the nxt bilbo :)

lol this servers has probly gone to shit but i dun care. its going and a new one is coming so why spend the time sorting it out? still fun to play.
thats the problem... the server is a great server, but the admin abuse was making it sour... but umm u do need to take the PROPAIR TO FIGHT and the HUMILIATED sounds off... they do my head in, and also i dont mind the rank stuff but plz plz PLEASE take off the bloody colours on the screen saying who u killed, how u killed him, how much HP u took off ect ect ect its UK2 all over again, weve had that problem with the phood server
