What do you guys think is the best PVP class? The reason I ask is last night some guy challenged me to a duel (PVE server) - He was a 23 rogue and I was a 20 Warrior. It occured to me then that Warriors dont seem to have any sort of stunning moves or decent pvp attacks (either that or I was playing it wrong). I realise I shouldnt be able to beat someone 3 levels above me anyway due to damage reduction and what not but this guy killed me in seconds. (not to mention I had to back pedal the whole time as he wouldnt stop bloody well jumping around :)).
So what is the best PVP class?
Only Shaman cos they can heal, but that can soon be countered.
Paladin
Priest
Rogue
Paladin and Priest have immune shield, and rogues can pull off evil attacks.

Rogues get crippling poison which can screw over most classes long enough for the rogue to kill them.
Master brawler , master fencer , pistolerr 1x4x , pikeman xx4x , medic 4x2x oooops sorry wrong game
shadow priest is supposed to be pretty tasty

priest, aslong as u keep your targets at bay, they a tad fragile but if u keep healing they can outlive there opponents with damage over time spells
Am I right in saying that a rogue cant take say 2 or 3 enemies a few levels under its self at the same time like a warrior can though.
(sorry to change the subject to PVE :P)
What about hunter? How are they PVP wise?
Hunter will destory anything 1v1 as long as he gets the drop on them as they can out damage most things in PvP, which is why the only tracking you use is Human tracking. :)
In a fair fight though, the second a hunter gets rooted or into melee its all over for him. Group PvP wise, I would think hes a good damage dealer but hes got nothing else to add to the group

got to disagree tbh.
He has good ability to use pet to draw aggro, and if he has herbs and alch he can heal with bandages and potions etc. So tbh not only does he do great ranged damage and uses pet to pull he heals as well. a good combination imo & offering a lot to any party or group.
Hope they sort out the warrior, total balance issue there!

gotta disagree i got bored this morning and went on purely for pvp, humped a hunter 2 lvls above me.
feared his pet, gave me 8 secs dealin with the hunter. put plague and pain on him to do damage over time and get hp back. true his pet was doing some nasty damage to me but he was in 2 minds as to whether heal his dying pet and keeping himself alive. in the end his pet died, and i did a flash heal, he tried putting distance to get shots in i diddled him with a wand shot \o/

We're talking about PvP pappadee, I agree that the hunter is a good class PvE (although he's not that good come instances).
The hunter you were fighting Socrates was pretty crap tbh if he was trying to heal his pet. Preist is a bitch to fight anyway for range classes.
I had a hunter 4 levels under me give me a good run for my money on my warrior as well the other day. (Yes I did win - dont worry and I damn well should have with 4 levels of difference).
He basically used some tactic where he would stun me, run, shoot Id run at him, he'd stun and run and shoot etc. Didnt even use his pet I dont think :/.
Talking of which - What happens if a hunter pet dies?
He has to ress it which takes about 5 sec, it also takes a knock to its happiness (which is sorted by stuffing it with steak), but apart from that, nothing.

I am the most difficult class to fight in PvP

my tauren shamen does nicely as the war stomp suns em long enough to stack what i want on em and lay totems then just mop up wih my mace

Warriors are fine, as long as you stick with the crit strike build. Anything else will see you being outdamaged easily.

1v1 fights rogue (except duels) and shadow priests are up at the top. Shammy will do ok aswell.
Hunters are very good PvP'er but better in grouped or mass PvP were u got to get passed others to get to him than in 1v1 situational PvP.
I know I'm topping an old topic but it would be interesting to see what people think of the best PvP class now.
I'm going with locks, rogues definitely no longer have the first dibs on this. although it's now even more reliant on kit..

Depends on the PVP type, resto druids are the daddy for unstoppable healing though. Hunters have become pretty tasty in recent patches with lack of dead zone and the buffs to arcane and aimed shot.

Hard to look past a soul-linked syphon-lifing Lock though.
Aye atm, a sl sl warlock pretty much gives everything a good pasting. Chain fear dot dot SHADOW BOLT!!!!
Rogues are prolly the only class that give them a bit of stick due to cloak of shadow.
Its all swings and round abouts really, one class is better than others at certain things.

I dueled Kahuna warrior last night he got be down below 10k hp.
Stun fuck ftw! :D I love my rogue for pvp especially BGs coz can just hide away and get cheap kills :naughty:
2 rogues plus a 3 minute mage is uber fun :D
I'm always moaning about Rogues when I'm on my lock, all these bloody stun characters!!!
Saying that though, was in AB the other night with a priest at GM, we killed 7 Allies which included 2 rogues and a mixture of other shit and today Cenobite and myself wiped out a 66 Hunter 66 Rouge and 68 Shamen... 67 Lock 67 Priest, killed another which I can't remember then died when they all res'd :lol:
Ceno died before the first one died, so I'm quite happy with the lock... it's just the stun stun stun stun stun that pisses me off :)

Yeah, I've never had that save me. Granted my items and build aren't fantastic for PvP it just tends to prolong the inevitable.

10 minutes has been the worst one so far (Pally jumped me outside CoT). Most of the time in the BG's my fellow team mates take pity on me and assist though.
and then I have nights like last night... BG after BG I was unstoppable, even the bloody Rogues! :D
