Woot live for my birthday!

Getting live on the 4th of december for my birthday, one thing i'm a bit confused about is the router thingy, on the xbox live webby it says something about direct connections:-

Or router connections:-

I'm a btopenworld user, will it be possible to use to the dirct connection there by saving myself from spening 70 quid on a router or should i take the router approach??

One thing i don't understand about direct connections is how i would imput my btopenworld account details...<confused>

i would go the router way tbh
i have a router with pc and 2 xbox consoles on ive got a linksys BEFSR41 only cost me £40 and works with both cable and dsl
i did do direct conection to start with but done my head in keep unpluging and stuff

if you do get online add CableNut to your freinds list
btw what games you thinking of getting

Lo mate long time no see, getting rainbow 6 this week, can you recommend any other games?

well ive not got rainbow 6 yet that one will have to wait till after xmans for me ;)
but im getting counterstrike on the 5th of dec and pgr2 any time now

my live games i have got are

midtown maddness 3
ghost recon Island thunder
return to castle wolfenstein
top spin tennis
crimson skies
there a couple more cant remember them of hand ;)
