okay i think i may know whats happened here but before i go jumping the gun i want your expert opinions :P ive turned my pc on and guess wht no sound, ive tried different speakers and cables and now im going to uninstall and install again and if that dont work put my old old card in or buy another one and i have turned the volume up and down, what u think?

lol thank you for that piece of advise but i have found out whats happened, the WAVE volume had resetted to zero and wouldnt go up or down so you can delete this post now please to save the agony of me being embarassed!

Would serve as a warning to others... like when they stick heads on spikes above the gates.
