How much can I expect to pay for a flight from aberdeen (likely via heathrow, yeah?) to charleston, SC? Likely during summer. Also, how long can I fuck around in america before they kick me out? :)

Try going to Atlanta and getting some other form of transport to Charleston, might be cheaper.

Flights are the cheapest and quickest way to get around the states by far, Amtrak doesn't run to every city let alone town and costs the same as flights pretty much, bus takes forever.

Just remember that the US operate hub and spoke flights, you have to fly into a hub like Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit etc (not examples of where you should fly to) and get a connecting flight out, most smaller airports can only be reached from 1 of the hub airports
