Games on Phones

Anybody had any experience of writing their own games for their phones? Was looking at Orange site and they want a fiver for tetris, so figured I'd have a go myself on my 6100. Found all the dev kits, just wondered if anybody had tried this before.

my mums new bloke is starting to develop for mobiles n GBA, ill ask him what its like etc etc when i pop down.

I'm going to have a go at writing stuff for my P900 at some point, probably start off with an app or two to get my feetwet first

Reading around, it really does seem like just java on most handsets, not sure about the p900 but it'll probably support it. They just tend to run a cutdown version of Java
