Footie Season 16/17

this'll fettle that cunt stepper

wooly-back-jack 03-May-2016 10:49

NWA 03-May-2016 11:34

Brilliant, though if Stepper creating the thread means we get a Leicester style champion and a potential bottom half finish for Chelsea then maybe we should let him do it? :)

cunning-stunt 03-May-2016 11:53

:)

andy 03-May-2016 12:04

Nah it's not a leap year. All the crazies happen on the leap years - arsenal invincibles, city last minute title win vs qpr, now Leicester.

devs 03-May-2016 12:57

feels odd that you done this a season early. so little posts in this seasons thread:

Reasons? Chelsea sucked dick all season and have gone back into hiding?

Chef_uk 03-May-2016 17:51

7th at best for us regardless of who is in charge. If Wenger's in, then the squad stays the same and falls behind others who strengthen significantly this summer. If he goes then we're into our transition and will struggle as expected.

always was the greatest cunt.

Chef_uk 24-May-2016 15:34

With Xhaka's confirmation imminent, that gives us 2 months to sign a striker and a defender of quality, ready to play straight away, not to develop. I hope it happens, I really do.

I can see why we activated it as it forces other teams to come out who might be competition for the player. If no-one comes in, we sign a cheap striker. If they do come in, we have one less striker on our target list to focus attention on.

cunning-stunt 03-Jun-2016 21:37

I wonder if they offered 20m plus 1p.

Chef_uk 03-Jun-2016 22:31

Hope so

Goody 03-Jun-2016 22:41

Lots of rumours saying it will be completed before he flies out on Monday.

devs 04-Jun-2016 14:37

head should be focussed on playing/training with team.

wooly-back-jack 04-Jun-2016 18:48

find myself agreeing with devs on this one

Hot Soup 04-Jun-2016 18:58

I struggle to see Arsenal adopting a system that Vardy will thrive on, but if he goes I hope he does well.
Does seem a slight dick move on Arsenals part to make the move now. Then again , better now that midway through the tournament. Odds on Leicester starting the season with Vardy, Kante and Mahrez still in the team?

Genuinely rooting for England to do well at the Euro's , although as soon as the hype meter gets too high , I'll be cheering for anyone else :p

bigdog 04-Jun-2016 21:32

Are any of the clubs English run now? Do they give a fuck about unsettling English players?

By all accounts he's known about discussions between the clubs for weeks. This isn't out of the blue news to him. Only to us.

De Gea sent home from Euros after being implicated in sex case.

It's been changed, all earlier articles said he had been sent home.

Duffeh 10-Jun-2016 17:48

Likely story! ;)

Chef_uk 10-Jun-2016 18:13

Wrong thread.
