It was absolutely epic. I've seen them quite a few times in Glasgow, and the sound has always been meh at best, but it was brilliant at the gig here. Played the whole of Last Fair Deal Gone Down, then an intermission, then another full set of other stuff. Really good gig, they recorded a DVD of it that night too, will def be getting that when it's out.

Something I didn't know until my mate told me - support acts for well known bands have to pay to play as support acts.

What a night. These guys have so much energy and have some serious grooves.
Seriously, go check out The Bomb Shelter Sessions and try to catch them before they end their tour (last date is Aug 6th).
They played a small venue tonight (a working men's club) and they really raised the roof there. I'm still buzzing from it. I doubt they'll get chance to play such intimate venues in the near future.

Went to see Battles last night and on reflection today, probably one of my favourite ever gigs. They sounded immense.

One of the band playing lead guitar with one hand and lead keyboard with the other? that alone deserves some sort of prize.

Saw Vintage Trouble last night (for the second time), this time at The Cockpit in Leeds. Awesome stuff. Such a great live band, with the lead singer giving full beans all the way through and sucking the crowd in.

Nahh, you don't need a trenchcoat for Killing Joke, least not the last time I saw them, which was a looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggg time ago. In fact, on that occasion, most folk were stripped to the waist-Glasgow Barrowlands y'see, very sweaty
