Chelsea too. They need to get Cahill in to replace David Luiz who again went walkabout this weekend leaving attackers behind him to score. (he has to play Defensive midfield for me.

They also need replacements for Drogba (off to China), Malouda (who can go any place he likes) and another decent central midfielder so Lampard can be taken out and shot like Old Yella.

Steve Clarke is an excellent coach. Defensive minded however.

He'll see you right I reckon.

Re. Summer Transfers:

Gylfi to Liverpool will be a dead cert now Rodgers is there.

Marko Marin looks like a decent technically gifted player for Chelsea, not to mention a certain Mr Hazard! Hulk is apparently also in talks.

I can't help think they need another defender though. Cahill, Luiz and Terry will need support. Ivanovic will play right back so he'll need cover too. Unless the plan is for youth to come through.

I don't see much width in the Chelsea squad either - unless they keep playing with strikers on the wings. I thought Hazard as an Att Mid. Marin is a CM I think too.

Utd are getting Kagara - looks a good player - although I heard they were looking at Robert Lewandowski (the Polish Hero of the Euros) but we'll see.

Citeh - Will look to buy Kaka I reckon.

Arsenal - will probs get Thierry Henry in again.

Everton - may well lose Baines this summer - and will no doubt be shoe-stringing their way above Liverpool next season (hopefully).

Portsmouth (Home team) will be down to 3 youth players and a groundsman by the time the administration finishes and they are firmly rooted to the bottom of league 1 (2 weeks into the season) so anyone looking to kickstart a football career could do worse than send their CV to the south coast.

Marko Marin, Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Kevin de Bruyne and are all interchangable in AM/Winger roles. Fitting three of those four (given Mata has a year in the team on them) with a midfield that already comprises Essien, Mikel, Lampard and Meirellieleliseles (I swear one day I'm gonna learn how to spell his name) is going to be pretty tricky.

Park from Man Utd - a good signing for us I think. He's 31 and the most famous Asian player so not a tough job to make a cynical marketing jibe at our Asian Chairman who owns Air Asia..... BUT, I rate him and think he'll improve our side.

I'd like some younger blood with anymore transfers though as other than Diakite (great signing imo) our dealings have been 34, 32, 31 and 31 so far.
