Turns out I have it. I knew I had it, ever since I was a very young kid, except I didn't even know it was a thing. I didn't know other people had it either. Well, thanks to the internet, it turns out they do, it is and it has a name:

Anyway, once you've read the short link above, maybe you can let me know if you have it too. I'd like to know how common/uncommon it is.

Mine is triggered mainly by two things:

The most intense is when someone is touching my hair/head or rubbing my shoulders/back. Doesn't actually seem to matter whether it's female or male (OI!, stop sniggering at the back!) and it's not remotely a sexual thing, it's just a response to external stimuli.

The second trigger, and the one that's been with me since I was 4 years old or so, is if someone is looking at/touching/using something of mine (you, you're sniggering again!).

What prompted me to look it up was the fact that whilst doing some Google image searches to see if anyone has nicked any of my photographs/3D stuff (they have) I found a bunch that were being used for peoples avatars, background images, wallpaper and one particular picture used on half a dozen corporate environmental websites. Looking at these, being used by other people also triggers a response.

A couple more were when we were showing our last house and someone brought their kid, she was wandering around my home office, picking stuff up that she found interesting (she was a toddler) and looking at them, and more recently when the young child of a friend walked off with my wallet and started emptying it & playing with my credit cards.

Anyway, it's weird, but I'm glad it's not just me.

does. Looking at it, I might have it too, but triggered by watching people draw or sketch. I first noticed that as a kid, found it incredibly relaxing ever since, to the point where I like watching Youtube art videos to chill out. Never felt it to be any sort of problem though

Though in your case, it's more likely to be triggered by someone sketching on your cock. Which is something else entirely.

I wonder if it's related to synesthesia. My sister and one of my brothers have that coloured graphene thing where numbers and letters appear in colour, and I seem to have sound to touch where some sounds feel like patterns being drawn on my back, right shoulder, and face. There are some other things that go with it too, depending on the trigger. Sometimes it's nice, other times it's quite unpleasant where it tickles so much, but it's always the same response to the trigger sound. I've always had it, but it's only within the past couple of years I've known there was a name for it. As for haircuts, I can't stand them because the buzz from clippers is one of my strongest triggers. I can remember being five or six and having my hair cut, and getting a bollocking because I kept putting my legs straight out to try and counter the feeling in my back from the clippers buzzing. One of the nicest triggers is a female inhaling deeply anywhere near my right ear. It's like silk cloth being pulled over my face.

I think I know what that ASMR feeling is like though. I'd guess it's like the E buzz, where someone puts their fingers through your hair and it feels like a halo of awesomeness that rolls slowly from the top of your head down your body, and feels fucking fantastic.

Exactly right. And that's the exact same feeling I get when someone interacts with something that I created or which belongs to me. Weird as fuck, but I can't imagine not having it.

I don't know if there's a connection, but I have something which I've never had checked out, but which I've always imagined as some sort of "nerve thing", where I get an "itch" under my skin at certain points down the exact centerline of my body, at the tip of my nose, point of my chin, centre of my throat and about 4 inches above my navel. When I get it, I repeatedly scratch these points starting at my nose, working down to my stomach and back again. Sometime it almost has a "dead" feeling, but still itches.

<edit> It's funny how just talking about it has triggered it. It's also reminded me of 2 other spots as well, between my eyebrows and the top of my spine, directly at the base of my skull. And the fuckers are all going off like a pinball machine.

I get something similar but only on the negative side though, I only need to think about knives cutting flesh and a shiver goes from the nape of my neck all the way down my spine.
