how about we talk about individual situations over comparing. Liverpool and QPR arent of the same level either. £6m for Park at 31 is too much for QPR.

Henderson - 48 appearances, 2 goals

Park - 28 appearances (13 as a sub), 3 goals

Except its not 6 million ... its 2 million with the potential (that being the key word) to rise to 5 million based on clauses. Park is a very good player and as already pointed out, hes probably going to bring in a ton of money from marketing.

So SSN is currently reporting that Newcastle have made a loan approach for Andy Carroll ith a view to a permanent move.

At the moment I'm a little unsure of how I feel about this. The way he left the club, playing for your home team, as our number 9, having signed a new contract 2 months still irks me.

On the other hand, we've made an absolute fortune from him, he's a young english striker who I believe still has alot of potential and ability, he could possibly be very cheap (due to us having a sell on fee clause) and we need depth if we want to give Europe a go.

Well its been rejected, wonder if its cause they want to try and force a permanent transfer straight off, or if they really dont want to sell.

We may well of, but alot of stuff said at the time we didnt. Well never truly know however. Carroll will always say he was forced out, the club will always say he wanted to go *shrug*.

Except Sky Sports have West Ham denying any deal is done and even if the fee is agreed Carroll still has to agree to the move. However yes 19million would be rather silly money, especially for a newly promoted team (even if most of the fee came next year).

Tbh i'd like him to go to West Ham, it would stop him being linked with a return to us and after much thought i really don't want that.
There are other area's we need to spend the money on as a priority, and i don't think he's worth a penny over 14mill until he proves himself at premiership level.

On the flip side WHU have got an international striker with proven Premiership experience for £2M for the season if it happens. Even if they don't buy him outright that £2M will probably go a long way to ensure they score enough goals to stay up this year, which is worth way more than that.

Good bit of business, especially if he decides he's got a point to prove, Allardyce knows him from his time ooop north so must think it'll work...
