Been playing this weekend with Rainy and pHk. It was good fun, other people seem to act like a bunch of c**ts though. Every time I had a decent weapon setup and met someone they would eventually turn on me and kill me.

Last game of the night I managed to travel half the map to get to rainy and pHk (with a broken leg). Healed him up, we raided the hospital and heard someone drinking. Shouted out to them for them to reply they were friendly. A few minutes later we were all shot in the back of the head by them

Sooo annoying when you lose 3 hours of gameplay to be chucked back to the start with absolutely nothing.

Can I suggest you join our mumble? We have quite a few players playing this, and you can team up with them/us. Its the best way. No chance in hell I would trust anyone else on the server. Rule of thumb for us is that if you're not in mumble, you're getting shot! simple.

It's archaic but once you understand it it's fairly straight forward. It just one menu too deep for most actions.

Well I've bought it, downloaded it, run the "Six Updater" thingy and every time I try to join a server I get a black screen with "Waiting for character to create" and just sits there.

Any ideas?

It has just been patched, it is happening to most people. The hive was just under strain from everyone trying to rejoin.

You can use the six updater to download the latest version, you may also need the Arma 2 beta patch:

Only got a CZ and guille suit so I'll see you coming before you see me

I dont know if its the latest patch but alot of servers are restarting every 10 or 15 minutes, it looks like a hotfix could be in order!

Multiplay were told not to update any more of their servers as their are known issues with the current build. They are currently working on a patch for it.

Can you try this on your own as in sp mode or just mp ,if mp can you create Mp just so you can look around to get a feel for the game ?
