I really wanted to read the comics but I enjoy the series so much I didn't want to ruin anything.

I wouldnt actually worry too much. it seems like the locations from the comic are going to be used, but the timeline of events and characters seem to be suggestions rather than requirements

Frank Darabont said before season 1 even started (fu Scrobbs!) that he wanted to get Michonne and The Governer in there asap.

how many years have passed in the comics? I think its 2 coming onto 3 so its not that bad to keep him - well bar the fact hes a bit of a whiney bitch on the tv version

Only just seen Ep 12. It was nice to see something, ANYTHING, happen. Rather than the fucking soap it became due to halving the budget. Wankers.

Actually most of the stuff you saw is pretty much as it happened in the comics. Of course in the comics, things happen much faster by necessity of the medium more than anything, but the walkers in the barn, Carl getting shot, Herschel having the realisation that the zombies arent alive anymore etc all happened. The part where Shane and Otis go to the fema camp, the shootout at the bar and the farm being attacked didnt happen in the comics at all, so in the shows defence, they actually added a lot of the action sequences to the story.

I dimly remember that stuff happening. But to drag an entire series out of it? I was initially hoping that the ranch stuff would fill maybe half the series and then them move onto the prison quick sharp.

Shane didn't go to fema camp because he was killed in the face in the woods just outside Atlanta iirc. Was it Carl? Or Rick. Think it was Rick.

Nah the prison is going to have to be a season all of its own. The farm was only a few issues worth of content in the comics but the prison is a MAJOR story component.

*edit* Carl killed Shane. Shane went nuts just as he did in the program, but it happened much quicker in the comics. Carl saw him pull a gun on his Dad and shot him in the neck.

Nah it was face to face. Screaming argument. Almost the exact same shit that was going on in the program but Rick was a lot more suprised about it. It was only about 3 issues after he found Shane, Lori and Carl so he didnt really see it coming like he did in the program.

Spoiler: highlight to read

Some parts of episode 12-13 done my head in ,Like carl aloud to wonder off on his own then hrs later everyone is wondering where he is .Like when he went to the swamp and saw the zombie and when he went wondering off again and found his dad and shane .Like if thats going to happen when theres a killer on the loose in a zombie fested world .
I did enjoy most of it even though some bits were OTT .

So now that this season has ended and have to wait till end of the year when season 3 starts which is a bummer .But just found out that Game Of Thrones season 2 starts April 2nd 9pm

Did you miss Hershel getting bitten?

Curious to know what happens with him now. Several characters have had limbs amputated in the comics (I wont spoil anything) and while some have died from infection, others have gone on to survive. The leg bite happened in the comics too, but it happened to a character that doesnt exist in the TV series. He died from infection.... but Hershel had a fairly important role in the coming events, so curious to know whats going to happen to him now

Also, very pissed off that I still dont know how to pronounce "Michonne". Say the fucking name Angela!

I meant the scene before, as they battled their way through the 2nd perimeter fence. A few zombies had their hands on the survivors, I just thought that at least one of them would have suffered a single scratch.

Also Glenn and Maggie kissing each other on the neck and shirt while they were covered in infected blood. It might be just me but I would be keeping my mouth away from that sort of shit

End of last season she was pissed at him for Shane, even though only an episode or 2 prior she practically told Rick to off him. Now Rick seems to be the one who is pissed off with her? Whaaaat?

EDIT - I'm a spaz. Clearly some time has passed since the events of season 2. Perhaps there will be a flashback to bridge the gap?
