Yeah, the tax cases are done now, it's a case of pursuing criminal prosecutions now.

I expect that those same noble fans will turn down the SPL's overtures if they try to somehow shoehorn them into an SPL2.

On the other hand, Celtic's claim that they wouldn't be affected was pretty laughable.

Well be alright to be fair, lets face it its not as if were going to need a hugely strong squad for the next few seasons so its pretty easy to cut costs. How they've come up with "it wont affect our business plan at all blah blah" I don't really know though...

We're aswell giving up with this season again tbh.

We took transfer embargo to the courts. Courts rules the SFA done it illegally but the only way we will get an association license is if we accept the embargo.

Doncaster has also came out and said we've still not been punished apart from the 10pt deduction, the relegation to division 3 and the £160k fine. But aye no punishment.

They only way they could make it obvious that they're trying to club the club is if they actually come out and say it.

The statement today around SPL2 not being on the agenda of today's SPL annual meeting sees to have put that partly to bed. My ill-informed read of the situation is that management were manoeuvring to make it happen but the clubs told them to fuck off. Perhaps they'll have another go if the TV package falls apart, but they'll need to get a move on given the season starts in 26 days.

To be fair , Rangers only had two punishments so far. Points deduction and fine. They ceased to be , so weren't relegated :p

What penalties Sevco may be liable for remains to be seen!

Although by the same logic as that any punishment on the new team would be a bit harsh as its a new entity

I actually dont think a transfer embargo is a good move at all, perhaps prior to the whole newco/div 3 business but under those circumstances id struggle to see the logic of it. If theyre in div 3 they have to be able to sign new players and adapt their squad to the new circumstances.

Green and the new chairman are coming out with shite as bad as the previous. That comment about "Rangers are in a good place, we're debt free" I mean seriously!

Yes we would of been saying "he managed to succesfully backheel the ball under a small amount of pressure from an opposition player which frankly even i could manage to do at least 50% of the time". Lets not pretend a backheel is the ultimate in footballing skill.

I disagree, I think Arsenal will do pretty well this season. With Podolski and Giroud you look like you finally have a decent strike force, and once Wilshire is back in the fold I can see you finishing 4th.

I think it will be City, Utd or Chelsea - we can do it but we will need our new guys to gel and bed in quickly, and as Sunday showed we aren't there yet.
