You didnt miss anything m8, it wasnt anything special!
Very jerky, felt really laggy at points, shit graphics and just not very good in general.

Like a poorer version of Star Wars

Actually have to disagree with Dave here,

Its running very smoothly for me upon release, yes it a mmorpg so get used to doing everything you have done before but it does bring some interesting twists to the table.

Investigationg mission r very very well done and nothing is handed to you on a plate, you have to use you nogging and your ingame browser to solve puzzle,riddles etc

Nothing wrong with the combat its your basic mmorpg skill rotation. You have to read and take in the information the game is giving you, you can build what ever character you want. You do get starter skill decks that guide you down a certain route but
in essence if you want to build a rilfe using blood magic healer you can, but you have to read and chose you skills wisely. I believe you cna actuallty max out the skil trees and then flip between decks at will.

The first area your goto after the intro is kingsmouth which is basily silent hill and yes you get the siren going off which send chills down your spine.

You can wear what you want ingame so its very rare you run into any who looks the same as your toon, stats r given by rings, necklaces etc

Its a decent game which has had a decent launch and for once its game that drops the playr is the chosen one bollocks, your just a soldier in secret war. This allows the game to tell a decent story without having to pander to the ego of the player.

Its an interesting game with alot more potential then the recent the old republic why? Because it not restrained by failed story telling system that hinders content updates, the world actually feels alive and bugs r few and fair between (not had a single problem yet).

My advice is have alook around in the mmorpg forums, it has quite a positive vibe give a month or two and see what happens content wise im actually putting this forward as a potential sleeper hit.

I mightve given this one a shot, but the fact that GW2 comes out in a little over a month made that decision for me. Im sure Id have had a lot of fun for a month, but seeing as Ive been looking forward to GW2 since 2009, TSW didnt really stand a chance

Now no longer requires a monthly subscription, just a box purchase. I've been giving it a bash and from a PvE perspective, it's pretty damned good. A lot of attention has been paid to the lore so that's worth looking at. I like the skill system too as it means you can jump about in an evening between different playstyles.

I understand complaints about 'unconnected' combat, there isn't really much feedback in the system. Your abilities sound and look meaty enough but the NPC animations leave something to be desired but it isn't yet enough to distract me from it.
