m00se, we had a few people DC on us today in fire fights.

12:55 the power plant in elektro. Sniped someone on the roof and they alt + f4'd

18:37 tonight, we shot someone on the second floor of the fire station (again the one near the power plant in elektro). They alt f4'd and then we think they reconnected to another server, moved to a different position, then came after us. The player we killed was called pshychojester or something along those lines. We think this was the person that was in the fire station that we hit but then dc'd.

If I split the squares up into 10 it would be the number in the bracket, hope that makes sense

104(5) 127(5) was the first one

104(2 or 3) 128(0) was the second one

I've had some great luck this morning, Luca woke me up at 6AM and then went back to sleep and after a cup of hot lava java I couldnt go back to bed so I jumped on the PTG server. I raided the usual camp and they had restocked it which was nice of them. I thought its still early so I'll have a jog in the countryside and I stumbled upon a tractor.

I was only expecting to find some low tier loot but this thing was full of FN-FAL's with night vision, Bizon SD's and a M14 CCO SD JACKPOT! So I'm willing to trade weapons and guille suits for fuel, engine parts and scrap metal

With equipment like this we can take and hold an area of the map!

I was a lone wolf mate but started to roll with Rainy, Homer and Nomad etc a few weeks ago. I managed to find the PTG mumble details but I couldn't join you in group 3 this morning, something about channel privileges?

Gotcha - you can join the main channel - I was in the away channel this morning (Hootles).
If I see anyone in channels I jump in to let them know whereabouts I am so there's no friendly fire.

After a while you stop creeping and just start sprinting into places until you get some proper gear. Quicker to do that and possibly die than tiptoe your way to the first hatchet.

Yeah, thaf's been my approach, run like buggery until a satisfactory amount of gear had been attained (in my case Enfield + water bottle), and now I'm being more sensible.

Working out that I can outrun zombies has been a big help as well.

Looks like the server has been attacked by hackers. Tons of helicopters spawned, Electro buildings all blown up. The server is a mess

someone got annoyed with the ptg servers and mentioned it on the dayz forum

the only oddity norfolk and i saw on 116 tonight was the strange video glitch of lines and stuff that resolved when you close and reopen your client, and then oddly a building collapsed in cherno right near us but have heard that could have been someone doing that deliberately with a script?, i assumed at the time that it was just another glitch

Homer ended up counting 9 crashed helicopters just north of electro, One was sunk in the floor but had not blown up. Looked like some fuckwit was trying to spawn helicopters in the woods but they was exploding upon contact with the tree's.

They bang on about DEV's server more than ours. Having said that they do reference the fact that DEV's server was bulging with PTG members.

I find it breaks the immersion completely for me. The fear of getting killed in Dayz comes from losing all the gear you have collected over the last few hours or if you are lucky, days. Using private servers to kit a clan out then go back to a public game really is more than just a little bending of the rules
