How long can you tread water?

I guess it depends on the alternative!

I did 6 hours once as part of a water survival course. That was a fun day.

Very impressive. The news dramatising how dangerous a hammerhead is really annoys me though. Probably the best shark he could have circling him tbh.

Basking shark would be better, they're absolutely massive but they just swim about with their mouth agape looking shocked and filtering what they can, doesn't even look like they have teeth.

Yeah. Whale shark too, but as far as sharks which have attacked... Hammerheads are one of the most docile i believe.

HH's aren't linked to many attacks on humans, in fact I think most shark attacks are misunderstandings rather than malicious, but if a large shark comes across something half dead and meaty, floating in the water, it's probably going to have a taste!

The naked part was actually good thinking by the survivor, he stripped his clothes off to make himself more buoyant in the water. Would have been much easier to tread water without clothes and shoes weighing you down. I also believe the Bull Shark is the most aggressive shark out there, it just does not seem to feature in the media like a great white or hammer head would. I think Bull Sharks also can live in both fresh and salt water.

Good trivia knowledge mate! Bull sharks have been filmed in fresh water on that BBC show about nocturnal animals!

Aye, they're filter feeders, wouldn't know what to do with a human leg if you offered them one with HP sauce on

Quite a few of them around up here, see them in the Firth of Forth a lot.
