Dear lord are all Arsenal fans like this? You said the exact same stuff at the start of last season, now it may not of been a fantastic season, but it was by no means the doom and gloom you were peddling back then.

I know. They are soooo annoying. Last season I remember saying something along the lines of "Arsenal will be OK" and if you take that dreadful run out of the equation they would have won something. They finished 3rd ffs?

Oh shush they've only brought in a full Spanish international midfielder (who would have more caps but, its Spain ffs) , a french international striker, and a German international striker with over 100 appearances and over 40 goals.

Theyre obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel , going to be competing to avoid relegation

We fluked last year's standings so much. If Spurs hadn't have spectacularly failed when they did, or Chelsea go on their extended bad run, or RVP reaching peak performance, we would have finished 6th.

Buying strikers is great if you have a defence to build from and we don't. We are about to lose our defensive midfielder who would fill in when a CB was out.

Thats £20 profit though from backing up my Sunderland win bet with the draw.

Away at Stoke next week, should be another draw at best.

went pub to watch west brom v lpool with opy, opy informed me he had backed lpool to win 3-0 @ 40/1, I thought that was a bit high, turned out he had accidentally backed west brom £5 at 40/1

Well pleased with that, we were very bitty in midfield in the first half putting far far too many passes astray, but a lovely finish from Ba and nice piece of trickery from Ben Arfa for the pen.

Games gone flat now, Chelsea seem happy to sit back and counter attack. They probably feel the game is done but I would like to see them go forward a bit more!

Oscar is coming on so maybe that will change things a bit.
