Just come back from my Grans funeral, was like a episode of "you've been framed". Twice looked like the undertakers were going to to drop the coffin.
Then when we got outside they had dug up the wrong grave...I had to walk away at this point.
Although my gran would have laughed.
The had dug a hole in the grave of Her uncle not husband.
Can laugh about it now but at the time..it was just one of those moments life throws at you.

That's a bit grim, been to two burials, pallbearer at both (plus a lot more cremations), and not so much as a hitch-I take it, like here, your local council are the ones doing the digging? If that's the case, get their ear bent.

Royal Mail muppets

Sent 4 packages RM 1st class Recorded last Friday. Supposed to be 2-3 working days.

1 delivered Saturday to Sussex
1 delivered Monday to Scotchland
2 still show as despatched only

I could understand if they were sent to the same area, but one was Middlesex and the other Leicestershire.

Am now getting messages on eBay asking where they are, even though said people have the same tracking information that I have. Royal Mail website states "We cannot accept a claim for loss unless 15 working days or more have passed since the item was due to be delivered"

Hopefully they'll get delivered within the next 3 weeks

3rd package has been delivered today, 6 days for a service that should take 2-3. Unfortunately the package for the guy that is moaning still hasn't been delivered. Just waiting for a non delivery to be raised on ebay/PayPal now...

rm first class is anything up to 14 days, i think 2nd class is within a month. 1st class being next day is just a desired ideal but not their guarantee, you have to allow them to post it to neighbours houses a few times first before it gets to the correct destination

Just been watching the news conference about the shooting in Manhattan. Now, what I want to know is this:

What ammunition are the NYPD supplying to officers if, in addition to the death of the suspect, they somehow manage to wound 9 passersby?

The options are either that they are just so fucking excitable that they fire rounds off in all directions, or the collateral damage is due to through & throughs.

If the latter is the case, and I'm sure others who have visited NY will back me up on this, why the fuck aren't they issuing softpoints at the very least, hollowpoints preferably or maybe even some sort of frangible rounds?

There are WAY too many people on the streets of Manhattan for the police to be using fully jacketed rounds.

Nothing on Beeb about any definite cop rounds hitting citizens, the guy was apparently shooting indiscriminately.

One woman, Aliyah Imam, told TV station Fox 5 News that the gunman was "shooting indiscriminately at people".
