Indeed, I know its early on, but Man U losing, Man City being run very close by Southampton and Chelsea currently down at Reading, this season could be very tasty (lets hope it keeps it up).

Yeah I'm not watching just viewing the BBC live text, they always take a little while to update the descriptions of the goal .

Didn't he curl in a beauty for England last season?

It was a good hit mind.

Hazard was good again tonight. Mata looked jaded after a very long summer.

I thought Sturridge added something when he came on though. His greed annoys me at times but he was an added threat that Chelsea need to pull Reading apart, who I thought were very very organised.

Pogrebnyak was a great target man for Reading.

Chelsea are looking good. All in good form. Loads of depth in the squad. Shit.

Hmm. They look good going forward; Matta, Torres, Hazard, Lampard all look sharp. But they got a bit lucky last night to be honest. A penalty, an offside goal and a bit of a fluke from Cahill. The two best goals of the game were scored by Reading...

The speculative free kick that Cech fumbled wasn't a great goal. The offside goal was the best, the build up and passing was great, regardless of the luck at the end of it.

It's too early to say whether we (or any team for that matter) look good, let's see in October when teams have bedded in properly.

Signs are promising though, Hazard, Mata and Torres seem to have struck up a decent partnership already.

Hazard is going to be some player.

Nasty cut for Rooney earlier:

Fuck me Hazard-Torres combo there was fan-fucking-tastic. Came into this season not really expecting to challenge for the title, but that's already changing.

Happy with newcastle really, showed some signs of attacking intent against a really good team in Chelsea.
I think Chelsea are the dark horses for the title this year but i think City will be too much.
Although i think it all depends on how Torres gets on. If he reaches his for from Liverpool then City will be blown away.

He looked like his old self today, his confidence was back and he was having a go. There was one point where he did a rabona cross which almost paid off and would have been spectacular.

It seems he has formed a really good relationship with Hazard already - add Mata to the mix and I think we will really push City and Utd all the way.

Injuries to key players and how each of the teams in question handle the heavy match schedule will decide the title. Fergie is never concerned until the December/January crush of fixtures.

Chelsea looked very good today - Torres looked up for it and Hazard continues to impress.

These lads can't and won't play in every match though. Oscar and Marin will also need to be up to the test.

Moses was a good signing for Chelsea for me - he was excellent against Chelsea again at the start of the season. A good fit I reckon.

Bit early to be getting too excited - on current form they are dark horses for the title though. I can still see one of the Manchester clubs edging it though - as much as I hate to say it.

Looking forward to Oscar, Marin and Moses getting some game time as well, all look like really good players. Moses and Marin may need time to settle in though i think.

Wenger's arrogance at leaving Oxlaide & Walcott on the bench makes me want Stoke to win tbh. What's wrong with him?!

That was very poor by Arsenal although I've come to expect performances like that. They had no penetration and even though Cazorla looked good others around him were poor.
Cant see them getting anywhere near champions league if they continue like that, granted Stoke are tough to beat away, but arsenal knew how they were going to play : /

By not choosing Walcott or Ox-chamberlain it was as if Wenger was more concerned with matching Stoke's physicality rather than play to Arsenals strengths.

we dont need walcott, we have a better version in Sterling. well played liverpool. gutted we didnt get the 3 points. they didnt seem to threaten all that much. 2 crap goals given to them.
