Guild Wars 2 Status Update

No date on this one because this wiki page seems to be being updated daily, so worthwhile having a look. I wanted to bring it to your attention though for one very specific mention:

I've not played for a few days, one day a new patch will give me 60FPS constant with high settings, the next day a new patch puts me back down to 15FPS no matter what settings I use. I just can't be arsed fiddling with it to get it working

Theyre still optimising, especially for nVidia cards and drivers. For now, there are rumours that the latest beta drivers will give you a decent performance boost.

They did for me. I was experiencing some weird graphical errors and intermittent lockups. I noticed there was a warning on the launcher to update my drivers so I got the latest beta ones and haven't had an issue since. Also increased my FPS by a decent amount.

I had/have maybe the same issue but I can fix it as I can pinpoint to a utlity I installed that uses .net ,if my computer sleeps with the utlity in memory & wakes & i try playing GW2 I get horrid FPS so I just restart windows to clear the computers memory & GW2 runs fine again.

The part that makes it hard to track down for me is that they seem to fix it, then break it again in a new patch. I'm using the new BETA drivers from Nvidia and they did give me a performance boost, but the very next patch from Arena.net broke it again

This PC runs everything else fine, just struggles with GW2

The Trading Post has been working superbly all day long and its quite frankly a HUGE step up from the likes of WoWs auction house. It works globally, so as long as you dont set ridiculously high prices you are pretty much guaranteed to sell what you put on there. Likewise you can always seem to find what youre after at cheap prices and you can state how much you would like to spend and see if anybody is willing to accommodate you. It really is excellent

Yeah I really like the style of the trading post, will be hard for people to control the market and over inflate prices. Reminds me a lot of the Everquest 2 trading system. It's more of a for sale board than an auction.

Last update seems to have give me my performance back, 60fps everything maxed
