Dual Monitor query

Right, i've managed to get the following set up and working.

Screen 1 = 22" Monitor 1680x1050
Screen 2 = 26" TV 1920x1080

Using a BF3 Settings Editior program i can force the game to launch on screen 2 at the higher res and it works flawlessly and looks great. Granted i can't do anything on screen 1 whilst i'm in game but that isn't an issue for me.

What i want is to have every game, launch on the TV but not to use the TV all of the time ie when browsing the web. How can i achieve this?

I've had a similar setup for a while, and had the same problem. I've not really checked it out for a while, but if I want to play a game on the TV I have to set that monitor as the Primary in CCC. When I last had an nVidia card there were slight differences but it was essentially the same. I never found a better solution. You would think that in these days of multiple monitors it would be a fairly easy thing for games to incorporate in game settings.

Ta mate just done that and then dragged the taskbar and shit back to the monitor screen. Will now test it out and yea, surprised it wasn't an option in CCC but we'll see how this goes.

Yeah, it's not very elegant though is it. You swap primary, which then messes up all your open windows, then you have to drag the taskbar around and then you have to do it all in reverse when you're done. Maybe Win 8 will have a fix, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've just remembered that if you play a game in Windowed mode and drag it across to the TV/2nd monitor, set the res of the game to the size of that screen, then Windows should remember where to launch it. Again, not perfect, but a bit less messy.

Cheers will give that a try. Will only take half an hour or so to launch each game and go through that process. Will be worth it though if it works.
