Yet another "What Hosting provider" question

Chaps,

I've got a hostgator "super secret" reseller account. I got it because I had a few client accounts on there, but never really did any reselling. However nowadays I have a few domains, but no real need for anything too amazing.

Amusingly Hostgator won't let me downgrade and I need to get their basic account and then manually transfer the stuff, and then cancel the old account. I might as well move to a better hosting provider now.

I'm looking for a cheap and cheerful hosting provider, that will allow me multiple domains and sites on the one account.

Tried 34sp, but it's one account - one domain, unfortunately.

Any others suggested?

Cheers

servage.net?

Multiple domains, etc. Can't fault them, and they're support has been great when I've needed it.

I'm using Provision Host atm

http://provisionhost.com/

cheapest webhosting package is $4.95. All their webhosting packages allow for unlimited domains.

Well they told me I could have sites as sub-directories of the main site. But I couldn't have individual sites.

Eg:
Hosting as "Trickery.net", but then also having "microsoft.com", and "apple.com" on the same account.

Sorry but thats a bag of utter shite.

I have two accounts with them - one personal that I've had for years, the other for work.

On the personal one - I had several websites and associated hosting packages - though I've closed them all down now.

On the work one I have the same - including a mix of business hosting and standard no frills stuff - we have around 8 domains on that one single account.

Unless you are talking about 1 hosting acount and then having multiple domains pointing to that?

Yup, what I wanted was:

One hosting account - three domains each pointing at their own website.

NOT:
One hosting account - three hundred domains all pointing at one website.

34SP inform me that the former CANNOT be done, and the latter CAN.

Possible.

You could buy the one hosting account, then say get the 3 domains to forward all traffic to another url (domain forwarding think its called - tired, can't remember, anyway) - host each one under a seperate sub directory off the hosting account...

Only saying it because I did it myself a while back - with 34sp. Its not "pretty" and some links do expose the real url but if you are clever you can hide them - all boils down to how much value you place in it and if its really worth the extra config against just buying seperate hosting.
