My lad phoned before and said he is doing the same, said the only downside is no sd, but it has cloud storage, and these prices are for unlocked phones?? He paid over £500 for GSII unlocked on release.

Unlocked.
A pure google device, so always gets the latest version of Android first.
No SD, but use Google Music for streaming music.

Hmm, very tempted with the Nexus 4. Currently have an iPhone 4 and can't bring myself to get an iPhone 5 as it just doesn't seem to offer anything different and, like all Apple products, is massively overpriced. 4G also isn't worth bothering with at the moment in the UK, so I'm not too disappointed by its omission. What's also selling me is I've recently purchased a Nexus 7 and absolutely love it.

From a personal viewpoint, it's about time something came along to derail the Apple gravy train, as, not being in graphic design etc, the only reason for my purchase of Apple products has been they've been so ahead of the competition since the iPhone 3G that until now other products just haven't been worth bothering with. That's forced me to put up with their shit software and proprietary annoyances; finally it appears to be coming to an end. I've already switched from an iPad to a Nexus so will probably make the change with the phone too.

My phone is fine (iPhone 4) but if it broke I definitely would have considered getting this, if it had an SD card.

I dont really want to have to stream the music I own from the net tbh :/

Nexus devices won't have removable micro SD cards. Google doesn't like what it does to the file system and has gone so far as to say they have proven it is faster without one. I don't know enough to call bullshit so I am willing to believe them.

Yeah if it knows height, roughly, it cuts down on the lock time when you are in a first use/new location.

I am surprised people haven't mucked about more with them to be honest. Mind you there might not be a way to get at them on their own.
