Aye Phil is wrong there. Torres was clearly caught there's no doubt (i.e. it was a foul), but he clearly wasn't caught enough to go down - momentum or otherwise - and he clearly simulated a dive. That shouldn't be happening and there really isn't an argument for him / Chelsea - that Evans caught him ever so slightly doesn't negate the fact the guy obviously took a tumble.

That being said, referees determining cases like this in real time isn't the right way to tackle diving in the game as it's likely to be fraught with error. What should happen is post-match analysis and suspensions for diving, like they do in the MLS. I do believe Le Saux was right on last night's MOTD2 when he believed Clattenburg had momentarily forgotten he'd already earlier booked Torres when he was running over to him already brandishing a yellow. The fact it's so rare to see someone given a second yellow for a dive gives a little support to that view.

All in all, great match

Sets up Saturday lunchtime perfectly. Could be another 8-2 drubbing against us or we could win 5-4. The ref could also lose complete control due to the amount of pressure on him even before a ball is kicked.

Hardly a surprise that Levein's gone. Shame though, I quite liked him. Strachan was a disaster for Middlesbrough so I'm not sure about him. He could be good, but he could be worse than Levein.

Walter Smith and Alex McLeish are both available and both did very well in their, fairly short, runs as manager. But I doubt either would want to go for a return at the Scotland job, and in Smith's case I doubt the SFA will forgive and forget that he left in the middle of a qualification campaign for Rangers.

Aside from that I'm not sure who else would be in the running.
