Can someone help me tweak this photo/scene?

Okay... basically I want to improve on this...

(Now tweaked)

An invisible man effect. I took 2 exposures but as you can see the one with me in it, is slightly darker than the one of me without.

Now. Is this to do with the AWB on the camera? Should I be setting it to manual? so it stays the same for both shots and won't adjust if there is a "darker" object in the photo? Or is it a photoshop jobby? where I have to fiddle around with the levels, brightness, contrast etc. Or is it a bit of both?

Sorry, I probably haven't got my point across too well. But if anyone can help that'd be great.

For two identical exposures you need to set everything to manual and hope the clouds/wether stay the same for both (which they should, if you're quick enough).

Mode - M.
White balance - daylight.
Focus - manual.

No worries.

Actually, you can autofocus but just make sure to set it to manual after you've done the autofocus so it doesn't change.

Probably best to autofocus with me in shot, then manual when I step out right?

I think two things will help here:

1) Plainer backgrounds. I know that kinda defeats taking two exposures because you could just paint in the background but still...

2) More action-y poses, like hands on hips or pointing at something. At the moment it looks like the clothes are just on a hanger in your room.

Yeah just experimenting, want to try one of me jumping in the air... doing a star jump.

Hands or hips would be hard. Pointing would be better!

think you need more of a tan mate

manual settings, prefocus and then remote IR shutter
easily done on a 350D or something
