I think we all know precisely no one will look at it, same goes for anyone else who doesnt regularly post theres a fair few who might post a pic every month or couple of months. Basically half the people who post on that thread hate each other but were keeping it underwraps. Keeping it locked will only really help in the short term since there will obviously be underlying issues of e-penis that aren't going to go away.

While I have no idea whats going on, its seems a thread I ocasionally browse through (one of those times was ironically this evening) has been deleted for a random reason. There's no explantion anywhere so...

I guess something kicked off and we're having to bow to the minority as is the standard these days.

Now speaking generally and somewhat hypothetically - If a forums going to have mods who accept a position as a mod then they need to be able to perform that task. Which involves not bowing to a minority, and leaving items the majority enjoy while dealing with the small few who maybe abuse posting priveledges. Whether that takes the form of editing posts, deleting posts or banning users.

But as I say, I have no idea whats going on, but thanks for the photos for the past few months.

I would have been viewing the blog thread and the photos from internet cafes for the next year or so. Adding rss feeds all over the place while possible is not all that practicle. Hopefully common sense will prevail, but i've been saying that for a few weeks about airline baggage restrictions and no joy there so

I'll be up for a photoblog resurrection. Best thread on Trickery, which I checked daily.

I don't have a photoblog or anything, but still have an interest in photography and liked to see what everyone was doing.

I didn't bother posting my thoughts on the bickering, since it would just be adding more fuel to the fire. But whatever you decide to do, remember that it was enjoyed by more then just the people who posted their blogs.

Hope to see it again.

People dont want to go to that effort though, the good thing about the photoblog thread is that to a random casual trickery user it both encouraged people to look at the photos and to post there pwm , the number of people who are going to make an effort to set up RSS feeds and the like can probably be counted on one hand. For the wider trickery community the threads a great thing, even if it doesnt seem necessary to a dedicated few(of which you are one which has to be skewing your judgement slightly).

You started a discussion regarding how harsh some of your comments were by your own admission, then one or two of us reiterated that point and included Sysagent in the discussion. Sysagent then got (mildly) abusive with his retorts. Then you close the thread.

That's lazy moderating if ever I saw it. You should have deleted the abuse, warned the posters to halt the discussion or to take it to another thread / pm and moved on.

I actually agree with BBW!

Although I have no interest in photography myself, I used to browse the thread as it was great to see some people's photos from their various locations, as well as the occasional link to numerous others. Can't really see the point in closing it - someone will create another, you'll delete it, create another, delete, ad infinitum until either, you acquiesce, they move the thread to another forum, or it just dies permanently. I think the latter would be a bit shit.

Reinstate the thread, or at least create a new one.
