The Lake District

A friend of my sister went to Lake Louise in Canada a while ago and the pictures she took make it look like an amazing place. White smooth rock and water so blue that it looks damn near artificial. I really want to go there.

However, back in the world of reality I'm thinking of the UK's Lake District. I was expecting dead leaves, slosh and brown murky water but it actually seems quite nice.

A la..

( I swear the right side background is from WoW .. ;( )

Anyone been there?

Good / Bad?

Anyone been to Lake Louise?

Yes, go there regularly. Keswick is particularly good for a piss up, that's where I had my stag night.

You thinking of camping, B&B'ing or Hoteling?

Check my blog for some photos I took at the Lakes. It's stunning.

Missus took me to Keswick for me 30th, or near there anyway. Derwent Water Hotel or something like that, was an excellent weekend of being treated nice whilst getting arse faced with some large sod off hill walking!

It is a grate place to go out at night, so many pubs a nice short stagger from each other.

Not being for the last couple of years though due to the little terror, looking forward to getting back there when she is old enough to stop over at her Nana's \o/

Spent a few nights during summer at the campsite in the langdale valley near the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. Best pint of Old Peculier i've ever had

Lake Louise is pretty impressive in the winter. Haven't been in the summer though
