Recommend me an audio book

Hi all
quite into audiobooks on long journeys and the tube, if I can't be bothered carrying a book.

So I'm looking for some more. However, I think that they have to be read well, otherwise they just wind me up. Good example is one of the stephen king book samples that I listened too once.

Any way adored Jim Butchers novels read by James Marsters.
very talented lad.

Just getting through the Harry Potter ones, read by Jim Dale, as I was too embarrassed to read them on the metro or in the house....! G'f hates Harry Potter.

So what's next? fairly pop culture I guess. Any thoughts??
cheers

Bill Bryson - A Walk In The Woods

As recommended to me by Ribby, amusing tale of Bill attempting the Appalachian Trail with his mate Stephen Katz, more on it here:-

a bit overly dramatic on the reading/acting front
but not that bad so far

after that try I am Mong...
a random collection of consonants with the odd vowel thrown in when you don't expect it, drama with a bit of spittle

if you fancy a change from audio books, try listening to stand-up comedy on the tube, a bit of izzard or doug stanhope are my faves for the challenge, whilst practising your tube face have a listen and try not to smirk. doug stanhope, deadbeat hero album, 2 headed baby is a nice difficult one. remember, smirking or grinning on the tube makes you look mental

not audio books as such, more radio plays, Batman - Knightfall or Independance day UK.
