Maybe she's hoping to get such a weak and watered down Brexit that it'll soon become clear after we leave that it was all pointless and we'll limp back into the EU with our tail between our legs.

I doubt she’s hoping for that as it’ll amount to personal disgrace for her, but it’s pretty clear they’re coming to the conclusion a lot of people reached a couple of years ago that there’s there’s no real alternative here and they’re just going to have to muddle through. It’ll be for someone else to conclude that this is all a bit pointless and we’ll row back in, but baring some economic catastrophe (which will become less and less likely with the muddle through approach), I don’t see that happening. Certainly not while it’s just the LibDems yelling from the corner to reconsider.

Slightly ironically, and perhaps this is a bit too much of a hot take, her biggest problem may be the ever so slight improvement in the Tories polling that might tempt some of them to take the risk of an election. I doubt it though. They’re stuck with her until the transition at least.

Perhaps she sees her own disgrace as small punishment for that field of wheat she ran through as a child.

And on the 18th of May in the year of our Lord 2018, Theresa did state the completely fucking obvious.

So that's the end of any meaningful Brexit then.

"May suggested that the UK would still be able to have its own “independent trade policy”, though it will be unable to negotiate different tariffs with countries that already have a deal with the EU."

So we won't be be able to get shafted by more powerful trade blocs if they already have a deal with the EU!

Amazing bollocks here. A generation defining political failure by both sides.

Surely you mean the Data Protection Bill emails. Admittedly we're copying GDPR wholesale within it.

GDPR is an EU Reg so no need to transpose into law - the Act is supplemental. But you're right, both of them can shove it!

Offenders could fill the workforce gap left behind by Brexit, the justice secretary has said, as he launched a strategy to boost prisoners’ employment prospects.

Prisoners could work in sectors likely to be hit by the UK leaving the European Union such as catering, construction and agriculture, David Gauke said.

So, people who will garnish your lunchtime wrap with "special cheese", nick half the metal on the building site, and bugger cattle? It said on page three of the Daily Express.
