Stranger Things 2 - episode 8 so far, it's good, just not as addictive story wise as the first imo.
Could all change towards the end, will soon see

Every season is quite different to the last, being set in a slightly different era/setting (but Cameron remains a bit irritating throughout!). Really really good series.

Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9 started a few weeks back. It's pretty much exactly same as the last 8 series and still pretty pretty good.

Only managed 2 episodes of Stranger Things so far. It feels like i've started watching something in the middle of a season in terms of the episode pacing/structures but it's been fairly entertaining.

Just finished it, it is a good watch, enjoyed it.
Just felt like some of the story was a bit rushed

Been watching Parks and Recreation. On Season 3 in less than a week - it's incredibly bingeable.

Really didn't like that episode, just smacked of a BBC 3 Mad Max style drama, the rest of it was good but, like others have said, not really as good as the first season.

Only watched that episode today, and I agree with Dave and yourself, thought it was a bit pointless. But still enjoyed the season so far.

Not sure that anyone watches it that much any more, the first 2 seasons were a phenom but real life became more ridiculous. This is probably an easy break clause for Netflix.

Whilst I am completely supportive of those who have been abused or assaulted or harassed, I find the suggestion that a show could be cancelled on the basis of a singular, unproven, 30 year old allegation slightly uncomfortable.

That being said, would it work if I made a similar allegation towards someone in Coronation Street?

Finished Stranger Things 2. Good, but missing the through line that drove the first season. All story and character development that moved it forward revolved around the one goal of finding Will. That gave it a focus in a fairly self contained 8 episodes.

Now that it's a 5 season approach, it did feel like it wandered around somewhat. Setting up threads that we'll come back to later down the line (such as episode 7). I'm sure once it's all over it'll make a satisfying whole, but for the time being it's a good chapter of a continuing story.

I'm pretty sure the Duffer Bros said Netflix wanted a five season run, but it will end on season four.

Not absolutely certain which season it was but House of Cards jumped the shark when they decided to kill but not actually Doug Stamper and the whole FBI informant / hacker bit (which started a little before that but was leaned on more afterwards) was hackneyed cliche at its worst.

Coincidentally, listened to Jon Bernthal on The Nerdist Podcast on the way to and from work today. Totally one of the nicest blokes. That's one thing with TNP, so many people that I expected to be utter cunts for some reason (Tim Roth to name just one...don't know why though) turn out to be hilarious and utterly fantastic and humble people.

Do yourselves a favour, dig through the archives and listen to a few (Keanu is always great fun for example). Chris Hardwick honestly grows on you, he's just a great bloke.

Meh, tried TNP when you mentioned about Fillion. Lasted about 10 minutes before turning it off and deleting all the others I had grabbed, purely because the presenters annoyed the shit out of me.

I know it's not new, but it's brilliant. Plus, it has The Goggins, which is always a bonus.

Season 2 was dark as fuck, but didn't stop it from being a great show.

Season finale was a nice touch, especially with the cameo. I read that McBride/Hill are on the fence about doing a third season. I kinda hope they don't, because there doesn't seem anywhere they could go with Season 3, what with the way they ended Season 2.

Happy! About an Ex-cop turned hitman wakes up after being shot with imaginary blue unicorn friend...

Kinda dismissed this show when i first saw the blurb but just watched it and thought it was pretty good, definitely dark and odd/goofy but looks like it could be a really enjoyable. Based on a grant morrison comic

Is Ghosted as bad as the reviews suggest? Really got to like Adam Scott in Parks & Rec, but this hasn't been well received, and there's so much else I want to watch, I don't want to waste time downloading it.
