He doesn't get a chance to play against the 'bigger' Nations though, so you can hardly bring up the fact he only scores against 'shit opposition' when they're the only teams he's given a chance against.

In other news, Martin Rowlands looks like he's knackered his cruciate ligaments playing for Ireland. He was out almost all of last season with the same fucking injury

pfft, we rarely win at Villa Park, last season aside. They really are our bogey team. We didn't play that badly either, created a shit load of chances, just defended poorly. Still, rather be in our position that Liverpools!

I'm going to see it on MoTD tonight, though it does look like it's been deflected enough to take it away from the keeper

Umm, no. Glen Johnson kicks the beach ball.

I really doubt a beach ball filled with air would make an object such as a football veer off course, especially at the speed Bent hit it at.

In other news, disappointed Chelsea lost to Villa. We can never really win there.

One of the reasons I want to watch it tonight is because it'll not only be at a higher definition than what we've had on YouTube, plus that it'll be interlaced so it'll be smoother, but because there'll be (potentially) more replays. Then I'll be totally sure However, the beach ball itself will weigh very little so it flying out of the way will happen with very little force. It'd have been funny if the ball had been saved but the beach ball had been deflected into the goal

just back from the SOL

we should have won by more to be honest..Bent hit the post at least once and it might be twice..wasnt sure if a defender had cleared off the line or it hit the post for one of his chances

Liverpool were hopeless...half the game they played the ball between their back 3 who didnt know what to do with it as there was no movement

weak in midfield and lightweight without torres

and all the better that it was a scousers ball!

Confirmed. Johnson attempts to stick out his foot but as his foot is very low, the ball bounces off the top of it and into the goal; he gets the beach ball with a toe-poke at the same time but I doubt clearing the wrong ball is much of a consolation
