Server 2008 Standard - USB 3.0

Silly question time:

Does anyone know of any issues with a USB 3.0 PCIe (NEC chipset) card on a Server 2008 (non R2)?

I can't find any info at all. I've seen a few that are supplied with 2008 R2 drivers, but 50/50 on working with 2008.

Am I being completely retarded? If I hadn't have read so much in to it, I would have just purchased one and tried...

Any info. greatly appreciated.

Steve

As long as there's a vista driver for it which is WHQL certified, you should be ok!

Just an update-

Decided to buy the Startech USB 3.0 PCIe controller, and dock - works perfectly (so far..) with Server 2008 Standard.

Thanks for the help.

115MB/Sec sustained write (with cheapo disks) seems to be doing a good job. Hopefully my little silicone sleeves do the job tonight!! Otherwise it's fucked 'cos I've sold all my tape drives Well, I did keep one just incase
