I'm using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i on one PC (Courtesy of Work) and MS Security Essentials on a couple of others and none have had any issues or caught anything. This is probably more to do with using Firefox with no-script & ad-block than anything the av software may be doing though.

If anyone uses Barclays online banking you can get a license to use Kaspersky. Been using it for a couple of years now and it's pretty good.

Win 7 here, using Microsoft Security Essentials, will scan with malwarebytes on the odd occasion I think the kids or misses have done something stupid on the computer.

I use NOD32 myself, but I also recommend Panda Software and MSE to anybody that will listen.

Just stay the fuck away from Norton, AVG and Avast.

I had nothing but issues with Panda, false positives all over the show with my games.

I tell the same story every time when I say why I like Panda:

Working late night at PC World once, one of the midnight Christmas openings and had nothing to do so spent time on one particular PC. I knew there was a virus on it, but Norton had failed to detect it. I installed McAfee instead and ran that, but it didnt find anything. I ran the PC-Cillin online scan but it didnt find anything. I ran the F-Prot antivirus but it didnt find anything. With 20 minutes to go before my shift ended I decided to give Panda a try because somebody had mentioned it a few days previous and I hadnt heard of it until that point. I downloaded the installer, double clicked it and it immediately found 3 viruses and removed it, before the install had even begun.

As a result of that, I ran Panda on 4 of my home PCs for 3 years and never had any issues except one issue with the licensing department, but that was unrelated to the actual software.

I use NOD32 now though.

Still using nod32 (v4) here and at work on about 40 pc's. Our users aren't the most tech savvy, and on a few occasions we've had pc's get infected even with nod32 running.

I used Nod32 and got my harddrive wiped with a virus.... it picked up the virus but could do fuck all to stop it. Never used it since.

Avira + Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

MBAM's ace. Avira seems fine.
