I think the Trump administration is demonstrating just how much winning you can do with zero experience in politics.

This would be my argument against, people who call career politicians for everything.

Politics is hard. There's similar observations to be made about Corbyn's party leadership and the lack of experience in his team. Will Macron be able to do something different? Let's see.

I don't think this is a problem with experience, more with expectations, Trump has been the absolute leader of a business empire getting his own way for the last 50+ years, as POTUS he no longer has that luxury and it is proving to be very difficult to write the narrative that he wants without anyone contradicting him or refusing to play along, the number of people who've quit demonstrates this.

A moderately intelligent non-megalomaniac would pick it up a lot quicker than he is and be prepared to have consenting voices within their team so long as they bring something to the table. Trump can't handle that, it's total obedience and acquiescence to him or you can walk which limits the quality of the team and their ability to guide and instruct him.

Nah it will take quite a bit of time, bare in mind that because of the US system we will end up with President Pence too. It's not unfair to say that this might be an even bigger step into than abyss then Trump.

It's very hard to see him be impeached, I suspect he'll have to quit to get rid of him. That's not impossible, but I'd have to guess that he makes the four years.

He looks like a man on edge, and he's a man who wouldn't be able to stomach failure, especially from the position as one of the most famous men in the world. Where does he go when leaving the whitehouse? First suicide in office....?

US returning the Russian compounds Obama evicted them from for their election shenanigans:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.2e972c623086

I particularly like how they even dropped the pretense of trying to get anything in return:

Quote:
Early last month, the Trump administration told the Russians it would consider turning the properties back over to them if Moscow would lift its freeze, imposed in 2014 in retaliation for U.S. sanctions related to Ukraine, on construction of a new U.S. consulate on a certain parcel of land in St. Petersburg.

Two days later, the U.S. position changed. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at a meeting in Washington, that the United States had dropped any linkage between the compounds and the consulate, according to several people with knowledge of the exchanges.

Congress investigating a third Sessions-Kisylak meeting (on top of the ones he perjured himself over). Apparently this was reported a while back but didn't get much traction at the time. There's a long thread covering it on twitter which makes for a pretty incredible read:

Now that would be hilarious, if Farage somehow ended up in a US prison for subversive activity.

If that's a legitimately used adjective, on what basis can he currently be described as excellent? Genuine question as the assessment of his performance seems to be extremely polarised and it intrigues me.

Edit: massive topic derailment I acknowledge!

Comey to testify on Thursday. What I've read suggests that if there is evidence he tried to interfere in a federal investigation that this would be the biggest step towards impeaching him for obstruction of justice. Would still have to pass Congress but may be a turning point. Who needs to watch House of Cards?
