My backup DVD's keep failing

I've wasted 5 expensive DVD-Rs trying to back things up. It's not the data because I've tried a few different files and the same error appears each time. It seems to happen right at the end of the burning process.

I use Nero Burning Rom, here's a log of one of the failures:

Isn't 6.0.0.9 the version that XP broke? it's bloody old anyway, mines on 6.6.x.x so try an upgrade.

If your using Service Pack 2 then your supposed to be using the newest version of Nero or XP breaks it. Although my version of nero complained when i loaded it up after service pack 2 install and made me upgrade.

Probably doesnt help but oh well ...
